I am in the top 10 percent of all google reviewers world wide, just like a slight brag occasionally. I also ran a tea room in Ohio. I cannot give them 5 stars due to being freezing. I don't know why we weren't put in the room with the fire. There was one woman there. It was very drafty and probably even cooler due to not a lot of people being there. We went for TEA and I would try them again for dinner. The service was good and the tea was excellent. Everything was perfect except for the temperature of the room which really affected our experience. I loved the scones. They were excellent. I'm not a huge sweets person but enjoyed the savory offerings.

Loved the service. Very classy, low lights, attentive hosts, just the right atmosphere for my birthday. I also had a menu personalized with my name. We were given tastes of the chef's specials between waits. But I loved the bread and butter more than anything else. The dishes tasted ok, the names threw me off with all the French. My dish with sorghum looked nice but I don't feel the taste blended together. Looked my brisket. Was crispy and soft. The coffee on the lamb dish seemed a little too burnt just for me to find the meat pink inside. Maybe ask guest if they want theirs well done. But the host was quick to fix this while I had some more of the rolls I liked. Will definitely be back. The four course meal with appetizers left me feeling so full. I got a gift box at the end too. Impeccable service! You guys rock!

In the great circle of restaurant journeys, there are those places that you always mean to go. Places that have stellar reviews, long history, amazing reputations...and for some reason or another you never quite make it. Tonight we hit one of our longtime list dwellers and were NOT disappointed. This really was an experience. Top notch service. Atmosphere. Food. Wine. They even had a special menu printed for our anniversary celebration. I could spend a lot of time reviewing the food, but I think you really can't go wrong. Pick a menu and make sure to get the wine pairings because your eyes will be opened up to some amazing combinations. Sommeliers were top notch. One amazing standout was the halibut my wife enjoyed. Truly one of the best pieces of fish either of us have had. The Hokkaido scallops and remarkable interpretation of steak tartare ranked a close second. And finally, get the chocolate souffle. You will not regret it.

This is easily one of the finest restaurants in North Carolina—absolutely worth a visit. Beautiful setting, focused and well-executed cuisine, and a wine list that stands out, especially with its California and French selections. Of course, quality comes at a price… one that, apparently, can’t be split more than two ways!

FIVE STARS – The Fearrington House Restaurant is undoubtedly one of the finest dining experiences in North Carolina. On past visits, I’ve enjoyed everything from their elegant afternoon tea to beautifully prepared seasonal dinners with exceptional wine pairings and unforgettable desserts. The food, service, and ambiance have never disappointed. While I missed the dinner hour on this trip, I’ve included photos of the beautiful grounds, restaurant, and outdoor pavilion—well worth a visit in any season.
