Specialties: While we have some signature dishes, the menus change throughout the year with the seasons. The dinner menu features medium plates that range from cold dishes and vegetable charcuterie, single seasonal vegetables, and richer, more composed plates. The dessert menu shares the same attention to seasonal ingredients, and the beverage menus feature natural wines from about 40 different producers, craft beers and a creative cocktail list. Established in 2018. A Vegetable Restaurant by James Beard nominated Chefs Rich Landau and Kate Jacoby, Fancy Radish offers an exciting dining experience inspired by seasonal vegetables in the heart of H Street Corridor in Northeast Washington, DC. Since opening in 2018, Fancy Radish has garnered recognition from Michelin with multiple Bib Gourmand designations, The Washington Post with a 3-star rating, and Thrillist in being named one of the 13 best new restaurants in the country of 2018.

Ugh. 6/5 stars please. Fancy Radish gave me one of the top overall dining experiences I've ever had, between the hosts and the food and the service and the decor. It was all around perfection. Let's start with the drink menu: cocktails galore for people of all alcohol persuasions, and I personally was super excited by the fact that they have orange wines because so few places in DC do. from what I can tell the menu rotates based on the season, which is great because everything was fresh and interesting. The menu has about 10 options in total, and between me and my one other friend we ordered six dishes which was just more than we could eat in one sitting. My personal favorite items were the rutabaga fondue and the Peruvian potatoes. I don't know how these chefs manage to make a vegan food so creamy and delicious but they're killing the game and make amazing food. Run, don't walk, to Fancy Radish. You will not be disappointed.

We had an amazing dinner and went into it very skeptical about how good a vegan meal could really be. Our friend recommended it and said it was one of the most amazing meals he's had and he wasn't wrong. We started with the pretzel fondue which melted in our mouths. We got the spicy dan dan noodles and tofu with lentils for the meal. The spice level was perfect on the noodles and the flavor was out of this world. Similar feelings about the tofu dish as well. For dessert we tried the strawberry shortcake and the chocolate bar. The chocolate bar was good but very very rich so we ended up liking the lightness of the basil ice cream on top of the strawberry shortcake better but if you're one for a rich dessert then definitely go for the chocolate bar. Would 100% recommend trying out Fancy Radish even if you're not vegan!

Everything is plant based! Most flavors are rich and creative but some are boring due to their simplicity. I love that their menu is small, it allows one to try most of the menu. The vibe of the place is excellent. Best to worst -potato ( amazing flavors of sweet and spicy) -Fondue ( rich creaminess and the bread was fantastic) -Radish ( excellent texture the only thing I didn’t like was the avocado base) -Broccoli ( the beans that the broccoli sit on are amazing) -eggplant ( the charred flavor was unique ) The following dishes I do not recommend although they are the biggest dishes on the menu: Both noodles Tofu ( it is nothing special and lacks flavor)

Found this gem in search of a good Vegan restaurant in the DMV area for my wife. I’m not a vegan, but the food here is amazing! It’s located on H Street in DC, so come early before your reservation to find good street parking. The restaurant itself is very clean and set up nicely. The staff is extremely polite, friendly, and knowledgeable about the dishes. We have been here twice in the last month and the food is consistently great. Ordered the Fancy Radishes as an app — smaller plate but they know how to turn radishes into a delicacy. Other dishes we had were the rutabaga fondue, Peruvian potatoes, and Dan Dan Noodles—all of which were incredible! For dessert, we had a chocolate bar with lavender ice cream. I was questionable at first about the paring but it was perfect. The lavender ice-cream was unique but super tasty. Vegan or not, I highly recommend coming here for dinner. Don’t forget you need a reservation—they go fast! You will not be disappointed in the food or service at all. Enjoy!

We very much enjoyed my birthday dinner at this restaurant. I appreciate being able to dine in a classy restaurant as a vegan. Would definitely recommend the spicy Dan Dan noodles this were by far our favorite dish. We shared but definitely could have got one each. We also got the tofu (pictured) which was excellent and would highly recommend the fondu. Would not recommend the “fancy radishes” (pictured) they were just a bit underwhelming. You will need to call ahead for a reservation as they are closing in mid October and the place was packed.
