Some of the dishes were somewhat bland. The risotto was a little dry. The white wine sauce masked the prawns' flavours. Salmon was tender and wonderful. The pork had a wonderful aftertaste. Service was friendly and thoughtful. Would recommend if you're in the neightbouring city. Wouldn't recommend travelling further than that.

Can't say enough about this place! Food delicious! Service superb! Great wine choices! Prawns were superb and the sauce incredible! Muscles done to perfection! Calamari melted in your mouth! Bread soft and delicious for picking up every last bit of sauce on all. Just go!

Had a wide variety of foods on the menu. I personally thought that the appetizers for the most part were better than the main dishes. The desert was amazing!! One interesting menu item that was surprisingly good was the pear quesadilla. The staff was incredibly friendly as well. Least favorite food item here would be the chicken wings!

A friend of mine and I ate at The Peasant and the Pear in Danville for the first time and we enjoyed the experience. Greeted at the door and then seated right away upon arrival. Our server was very helpful and prompt. The food was fabulous I enjoyed the bread which was firm yet soft. We brought the works which had cheese and herbs. I had the pear tart for dessert and it hit the spot. I am looking forward to trying their other restaurants in Livermore and Walnut Creek. During our meal we were checked in on by people other than the server which was nice. At the end of the meal we were asked did we enjoy our meal. I will go back.
