Specialties: Fish Tacos, Tequila and Mezcal are the deal at the Lu. Certainly North Florida's largest selection of all three! Established in 2008. TacoLu opened in 2008 in a little building on Beach Boulevard. From the beginning, many people--including Debbie and me (but mostly Debbie)--were dubious about the timing and future of our little taco stand. Aside from the fact that no one could pronounce the name, the American economy was tanking, and most people thought it was "just plain silly to open a business in these conditions," we still thought it was a worth a shot. It was either open our own place or go to work for someone else, I thought, and so we were off!

We stopped in for lunch and it was delicious. The service was top notch. 100+ brands of tequila and tacos. Yum! We sat on the patio as we had our dog. They brought him some water and a dish for his (Jimbo) taco. Definitely would recommend.

Stopped in for a work lunch today. The food was super yummy. The staff was super friendly and provided excellent service. The place has a total Mexican bar vibe. Great place for a delicious meal. They have options for everyone.

On a work trip to Jacksonville, from Idaho, and never been here before. This place was recommended to me. The food did not disappoint...fresh, hot, amazing flavor and fast to the table. The waitress was pleasant. I will be back if I'm ever in Jacksonville again. Nice job, Tacolu!

We are visiting the area, and a friend suggested TacoLu as a good place to meet for dinner, and it did not disappoint!! The waitress was wonderful. She made sure we didn't have any questions and even made a drink suggestion for me. Everything we ordered from the street corn to all the different tacos was amazing!!! I wanted a photo with our friends because we hadn't seen each other in 15 years, so our waitress said she would take one for us in a great spot after we ate. Everything was wonderful, from the great service to the delicious food!!! If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely be back!!

TacoLu is probably my favorite restaurant in all of Jax and I keep coming back for more. The chips are are very tasty and the tacos are delicious! Filet mignon on nachos is an excellent choice 11/10. I usually go with the $10 taco, Carne Asada and a Blackened shrimp or Bangin Shrimp taco and they never disappoint. My only gripe is it can get loud for such a small space, especially in the bar area. Outside seating on a beautiful brunch morning solves this issue. Parking lot is also very small but they have free valet if you'd like. I will always stop at TacoLu when I am in Jax!
