This delightful place came recommended. Airy inside with tasteful decor, and seating outside too. The food was like a hug - delicious, comforting, and nicely presented. I had the shrimp and grits as main, and a deconstructed scone for pudding. Attentive, polite and happy waiting staff, lovely chef, and Lisa the owner popped out to say hello too. I'd be a regular if I lived in the area!

The biscuits and potato croquette we mentioned were not bad. Again, the golden beet salad we all shared was quite successful. However, we were a little disappointed in the main dishes. Salmon was the most tasteless salmon I ever ate. They forgot the meat in the short rib stroganoff that one of my friends said. They added it later. The employees are interested, the environment was nice.

As usual the service, food and atmosphere were very pleasant. The flat iron steak and shrimp and grits were superb. I highly recommend the biscuits, too! Previously, I had the angel biscuits which were light and delicate. The current offering is Buttermilk Cheddar biscuits which are rich and dense. Both are good. There was also a nice draft beer selection. I hope to try the short rib stroganoff next time.

Wow- what great food & drinks but most of all customer service. They went above and beyond to make my birthday dinner extra special. Beautiful night so we sat outside. Parking not a problem like a lot of places in Durham. Deviled eggs & potato croquettes were good but the biscuits- whoah. Pork chop- amazingly tender & flavorful. Salmon delish, steak & mushroom risotto/ everything was so good. And all 3 desserts, banana pudding, strawberry shortcake & brownie- with a birthday banner & candle, and the owner coming to see us. Can’t wait to go again!
