Been to the original Pasadena location before, but couldn’t help to make another trip to their second location on a different visit to town because it’s just that good! I love the mapo tofu tots - you gotta get it with an egg on top! And the popcorn chicken was also solid. There’s something about the Taiwanese meets Western fusion that I really do love about Bopomofo and how it was started up. The drinks are also top notch and I like the unique flavor combinations that come from an original tea shop compared to franchises. Seating can be pretty tough to come by because of how popular the restaurant is, but I like how there is some smaller outdoor seating with side tables provided as well that works if you don’t have too large a group. It does get pretty hot out there though so I hope you’re wearing sunscreen 🤣

Their custard caramel boba was the best I've ever had. The location is very hip, with beautiful wall paintings. Their finger food options are delicious. I tasted the dark fried chicken as well as the vegan one. Both were delicious.

I have to say that the Honey Walnut Shrimp Burger was one of the most uniquely delicious things I have ever tried! The boba drinks were awesome and the tofu tots were great too.

The staff was very helpful! I normally order less sweet and forgot to change it. The staff adjusted for me after the fact and even asked if I wanted to remake it. I said no that it was just a little sweeter than I wanted. The mapo tots is a must get! Also ordered the tw chicken and those are like what I get back in Taiwan! Legit! Drinks are again delicious. Got the summer mango assam tea. And it's very refreshing! Second time for this trip. Never disappoints!
