I knew that we could find great deli in Los Angeles. My wife and I shared the reuben. We took our first bites at the same time. Oh my god! It was so freaking good! The corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and Russian dressing all worked together in harmony. No part of the sandwich was overpowering the other parts. It was well worth the money. We were talking about that sandwich the whole drive home. Well done!

Lox and bagels were very good, I’m not fond of rye bread so they put it on bun. The pastrami was all right. I prefer Tom’s burgers pastrami that’s fried and on a French roll. I won’t discount that I am not a pastrami connoisseur so this is just from a layman‘s perspective. The atmosphere was very pleasant. I enjoyed sitting at the bar. I did have to go buy a beer somewhere else because they don’t serve alcohol.

Wexler's Deli is the only deli in LA that cures, smokes, and hand-slices all meat and fish in-house. Chef Micah Wexler, formerly of Mezze, has opened this deli outpost for pastrami sandwiches and bagels with lox as part of the revitalization of Grand Central Market in downtown L.A. I tried the OG sandwich. Two slices of rye bread filled with pastrami and mustard. I liked the taste although I think it would have added more flavour if it was served hot but this is a personal choice.
