One of our favorite places, conveniently located in my son's neighborhood. We started with Arancini always yummy. My son had the Chicken Marsala with homemade pasta and raved how delicious it was. I had the Chicken Bracciola, which unfortunately was not great. The homemade pasta with the spinach and sun-dried tomato sauce was amazing, but the chicken was very tough and the prosciutto was like leather. Probably just an off night for that dish. We've enjoyed many wonderful meals here and we’ll be back again.

An absolute local favorite Vinny’s is a must try! Located on Broadway in Somerville it is your neighborhood go to Italian. Serving Sicilian style staples, you will always leave here full and satisfied. When you walk in you will see their deli where you can order sandwiches to go, but to the right is where you are able to sit down for dinner. Small and intimate seating. The bread is always fresh accompanied with butter or olive oil and grated cheese. My go to is the lamb osso bucco. This dish is considerable in size and so delicious. It is such a homey meal and makes me feel like I am eating my grandma’s Italian food. The lamb literally falls off the bone and the vegetables are cooked to perfection. It is covered in this flavorful broth and is also served with garlicy risotto. Do not sleep on the arancini. They are made simple with peas and rice and yet so tasty and the marinara hits just right. Do yourself a favor and stop in when your craving Italian you wont be disappointed.

FOOD cant be beat. You go here for the food. AUTHENTIC SICILIAN. One of the only boston area italian places that serve a rabbit option (a common sicilian food). The portion sizes are large. They make some pasta in house (fusili), and some deserts (tiramisu). Sauce is excellent. Tiramisu Is made in-house and one of the best in the area in my opinion- moist and perfect. Many deserts are not made inhouse. I dont recommend what they call gelato. It's simply ice cream, and not the buttery texture you would expect from gelato. It is good, but not the expected texture of gelato. I've had many dishes here. One of the only places I will order lasagna. It's made right! Chicken saltimboca is the best I've ever had. picatta dishes also excellent. service was poor this last time I went. Silverware was quite dirty, and the one server did not have help so timing was quite slow. He was accommodating inspite of the silverware - he admitted was awful... replaced all our silverware. The one bathroom is small, and not handicap accessible. also quite dirty, trash was piled high. These two issues can be remedied easily. I have to be honest in the review to be an agent of change - because this is one of my favorite Italian restaurants in the Boston area. I rarely give 5 stars. The food deserves it!!!!

Lovely experience at Vinny’s! We upgraded to the homemade pasta and it was definitely worth it! Also the portions are huge! Will definitely be back.

Went to vinny’s after a few tapas at Barcelona Wine Bar after another amazing play at the huntington theatre. I was looking for comfort food and vinny’s did not disappoint. I was a little hesitant at first because it felt like a very family-oriented establishment . As a newcomer and a minority, I was a little apprehensive but I had nothing to worry about. Vinny’s was amazing! The food was soo good. I got the mussels al fra diavolo and they were divine! I got the italian rosé and it was a very generous pour for the price. Unfortunately I was running late to a previous planned event so I had to take my sausage and rabe linguini in cream sauce to go. It was such a pleasant surprise when i got home. Not only was it delicious, with the sausage made on sight, but it was a VERY generous portion for the price. That said, they already advised us that staffing was low tonight and I was more than okay with that. I would have waited because the vibes inside were super homie and immaculate. I would say, step out of your comfort zone and step into vinny’s. It was a great experience and the food did not disappoint. 9.5/10 would absolutely recommend.
