To start, our server G was amazing, kind, and extremely attentive. The restaurant was clean and had a great vibe about it. The sushi wasn’t the prettiest, but the flavor was on point and I enjoyed each roll. The ramen was delicious and hit the spot on the extremely cold night we came. We will definitely be coming back and I highly recommend!

Great restaurant with various options such as sushi, ramen and bowls. I loved the chicken teriyaki bowl but the sushi rolls were absolutely delicious. Come here for a cute date night or just an outing with friends - highly recommend.

TOKIO is an absolute gem in Denver! I came for the ramen but also loved their sushi! (Monday is $2 salmon night). The ramen menu is stacked with delicious options, my pick was the spicy shoyu, rich and comforting with perfect chashu pork. I also tried the Kyoto Matcha IPA, which was super unique and surprisingly refreshing. Friendly staff, fun atmosphere, and great specials like sea eel and sea urchin. Definitely worth a visit if you're into ramen or want to test your competitive eating skills! (Check out their 5.5lb challenge!)

I came in expecting good, but left this place surprised and think it’s one of my favorite all around Japanese restaurants in Denver. We tried out some sushi, miso ramen, and dumplings - all were great in their own regard. I think the sushi, while still very expensive, did make me want to come back and try more rolls. The flavors were great and the fish was fresh - I’ve had a lot of rolls in a similar price point that did did not taste near as good. Miso ramen was also great and I’d love to try more of their ramen selection over time. I don’t get Miso very often, so it’s hard for me to say how it stacks up against other offerings in Denver. Drinks were great for being under $9 - I was happy with them. Had an issue where our ramen tool ~40 minutes to come out of the kitchen due to some miscommunication between server and the kitchen, but we were comped some desert in return and that made it right in the end. All in all - I think this place is slept on for Japanese fare. It is expensive, but I would definitely come back since it was so good. 4.5/5.

Tried the place for the first time when we were in Denver. Got the shishito peppers. They were good. Also got the miso ramen, which was really tasty. Rock and roll sushi, which was really delicious. Also got the salmon sashimi. It was fresh. The service was great and friendly. Highly recommended.
