First time at this small little place in Milford and worth another trip to explore more options. I had a lobster roll and hand pies and my wife had a short rib grilled cheese with a bowl of kimchi tomato soup. The soup was outstanding and paired well with the short rib sandwich. My wife would have preferred a half sandwich option so I was the beneficiary of her other half - no complaints! The lobster in my lobster roll was spot on as was the texture of the bread holding it but there was just too much bread for this roll in my opinion (it would have been nice to dip in the tomato soup). I was told the hand pies had Korean bbq in them with a little spice. The crust of the hand pie was cooked to perfection but the inside left a lot to be desired. It lacked the texture and taste I would have expected from something labeled Korean bbq. I’ll give the next filling a try because the pie started out so well. We split a basket of crinkle fries but we only ate a few because they were cold and lacked a nice crunchy exterior. Not a grand slam but definitely enough to warrant another visit. We’ll let you know how the next trip goes!

If you’re looking for an amazing dining experience in Milford, Ohio, look no further than The Governor Restaurant! We had an absolutely fantastic meal here, and every bite was perfection. We ordered cheeseburgers, fries, and Reubens, and they were all cooked to perfection. The burgers were juicy, flavorful, and served on a perfectly toasted bun with fresh toppings. The Reuben was outstanding—loaded with tender corned beef, tangy sauerkraut, and melted Swiss cheese on beautifully grilled rye bread. The fries were crispy and golden brown, the perfect side to our meals. But the real showstopper? The Plain Skillet Pancake! It was absolutely to die for—fluffy on the inside, slightly crisp on the edges, and so delicious that we’re already planning a return visit just for that. It was hands down one of the best pancakes we’ve ever had! The service was also top-notch. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making for a perfect dining experience. If you haven’t been to The Governor yet, you’re missing out. Highly recommend this hidden gem for a meal you won’t forget! Thank you Adam for your fantastic service!

We drove all the way from Dayton to try this place. My husband saw the flavortown episode and instantly wanted to try the short rib grilled cheese. We loved it and the service was amazing! We will definitely be back again. Overall, 10/10 experience! :)

It’s a bright, warm space. Our waitress was friendly, informative, and prompt. They do breakfast all day. I got Governor Tsao’s Chicken Sandwich and the best tomato soup I’ve ever had. The chicken sandwich was huge. I ate half. It had their house slaw with a brioche bun. My husband got a short rib grilled cheese sandwich that came with tomato soup. He also got the sautéed greens and cabbage. Everything was so, so good.

What a local gem u have in Milford! Service was fantastic Hannah & others & vibe was very good. Workers all smiled & were happy to help. Food was fantastic, recommendations: deviled egg on potato skins, Lobster roll, turkey avocado, grilled cheese were yummy & tomato soup. Enjoyed a different twist on soup. Daughters loved their expresso martinis & Jones root beer! Will b back, good job guys! Come enjoy if ur a Cincinnatian or out of towner!
