Crunkleton is the epitome of a "dining experience", and a great staple representation of the culinary excellence that Charlotte is becoming known for! From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by a very warm open seating concept that has the kitchen as the centerpiece with a huge wood burning stove! Our server, Adam, was extremely knowledgeable and definitely enhanced our experience by constantly providing his solid recommendations especially when picking from their DEEP whiskey selection! The manager Joey, also enhanced our anniversary celebration by making frequent table touches and striking up genuine conversation! The food is EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD, and their bar program follows suit, we have absolutely nothing but good things to say about this place and highly recommend to anyone in Charlotte!

My first time here and for my birthday weekend. Let’s just say I was totally impressed. Wonderful, calm atmosphere. The waiter was awesome. The food is unbelievable!!! I had too many favorites (everything that you see in the pictures…lol) but definitely wished I would have started with the pecan pie first. If you are looking for a relaxing place to have something you’ve never had before. This is the place to go.

The service was commendable, with an attentive waitress, although there were moments when we felt overlooked. The star of the meal was undoubtedly the tomahawk steak—bursting with flavor and cooked to absolute perfection. In fact, I’d confidently say it’s the best tomahawk I’ve had in both North and South Carolina. The side dishes were equally delightful, and the shrimp and grits stood out with their perfect preparation and robust flavors. This spot is a fantastic choice for brunch, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone!

My recent visit to Crunkleton was an absolute pleasure, offering a fantastic blend of sophisticated ambiance, delicious food, and exceptional service. We kicked off the afternoon with some fantastic cocktails. My Pain Killer was a tropical delight, perfectly balanced, and my Mai Tai was a strong, well-crafted classic – definitely more on the potent side than overtly sweet, which I would have preferred. Our server, Hannah, was truly a standout. She was not only incredibly informative about the menu but also genuinely interested in our food allergies, making us feel completely at ease. Beyond her excellent service, we were particularly impressed to learn about Crunkleton's membership program, which offers tastings and priority services for $20 a month. Even more commendable, a portion of the proceeds goes towards a fundraiser for an employee battling cancer, a truly great deed that speaks volumes about the establishment's values. The ambiance at Crunkleton is a highlight, best described as a very "whisky cigar lounge" meets a "bougie casual experience." It strikes a perfect balance, feeling both luxurious and comfortable, ideal for a relaxed yet refined evening out. For our entrees, my wife enjoyed the spicy chicken breakfast sandwich. It was a flavorful and satisfying choice, with just the right kick. I opted for the Charlotte Hot Brown, a local take on the classic. It was a rich and comforting dish, truly a hearty and delicious meal. The only minor misstep was the salad, which was a bit too fresh, tasting as if the leaves had just been picked and washed. While freshness is usually a plus, in this case, it felt a little too raw, perhaps lacking a bit of dressing or seasoning to truly shine. Overall, Crunkleton delivers a memorable dining experience. From the expertly crafted cocktails and inventive dishes to the exceptional service and inviting atmosphere, it's a place I would highly recommend for a date night, a special occasion, or simply a sophisticated yet relaxed afternoon with friends. We'll definitely be returning!

I went to The Crunkleton for dinner and had a great experience! The highlight of the meal was the chicken piccata-perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. I did substitute the potatoes on the chicken piccata with risotto since I'm not big on potatoes, and they were totally accommodating, which I really appreciated. Only complaints, the NY strip could have used more flavor, and hanger steak was a bit small. The restaurant had a great vibe with comfy chairs that made it easy to settle in and relax. I also loved watching the bartenders work their magic behind the bar-it was like a show in itself! The open kitchen was a nice touch because you could see all the delicious dishes coming out, making it even more exciting. Don't miss out on the beignets-I'd come back just for those! The caramel ice cream was another tasty treat that ended the meal on a sweet note.
