The Capital Grill 1450 Larimer St, Denver, CO 80202 From the moment we stepped into The Capital Grill on Larimer Street, it was clear we were in for a special evening. With a bustling atmosphere filled with laughter and the clinking of glasses, the restaurant exuded an inviting charm that made us feel right at home. Our party of nearly 40 was swiftly ushered into a private room, which perfectly accommodated our celebration and allowed us to enjoy the evening without interruption. The service was impeccable! Our main waiter, along with a well-coordinated team of staff, ensured that every need was met with a smile. I was particularly impressed by how attentive they were—our drinks were constantly topped off, and the timing of each course was flawless. It felt like they could read our minds! Now, let’s talk about the food. We started with a selection of made-to-order appetizers that set the tone for the meal. The Pan-Fried Calamari was perfectly crispy, with just the right amount of heat from the hot cherry peppers. The Prosciutto-Wrapped Mozzarella paired beautifully with the vine-ripe tomatoes, delivering a fresh and savory bite. But the star of the starters was undoubtedly the Lobster and Crab Cakes, which were rich and packed with flavor. For our salads, we opted for the Field Greens with Parmesan Vinaigrette and the Wedge with Bleu Cheese and Smoked Bacon, both of which were fresh and delightful. When it came to entrées, we were truly spoiled for choice. I chose the Filet Mignon, and it was cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. Others at the table raved about the Porcini Rubbed Bone-In Ribeye and the Pan-Seared Sea Bass, which was complemented beautifully by shiitake mushrooms and miso butter. The Tomahawk Veal Chop was another highlight, served with sage butter and Marsala jus that left diners craving more. The Roasted Chicken Breast stood out with its rich mushroom and parmesan risotto—comfort food at its finest. Accompaniments like Sam’s Mashed Potatoes and the Lobster Mac 'N' Cheese were the perfect sidekicks to our main dishes, while the Grilled Asparagus with Lemon Mosto added a refreshing touch. To wrap up this culinary journey, we indulged in the chef’s selection dessert platters. Each bite was a celebration of sweetness, a delightful end to an already exceptional evening. We paired our meal with the Austin Hope 2022 Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon, a smooth and rich wine that complemented our steaks beautifully. The outdoor seating along the closed-off roadway added a nostalgic charm, allowing us to soak in the vibrant energy of the old town atmosphere while enjoying your meal. My experience at The Capital Grill was nothing short of outstanding. From the attentive service to the exquisite food, every aspect made for a memorable evening. I am already looking forward to my next visit to this gem in downtown Denver!

There is definitely a reason why they have the reputation of being the best. When it comes to food service and atmosphere absolutely top-notch I said this is the times the staff matters from the managers to the Bus boys to my fabulous waitress Alexis. The staff was absolutely amazing. The description of the food made your mouth water, but when the food came to the table that aroma and taste was beyond all expectations. I was celebrating my birthday and the desserts were absolutely out of this world. My favorite is the cheesecake for sure. But my fillet and lobster tail was also as recommended. The wine was great. Had both Malbec and a Port to finish my meal. I had mentioned that my daughter had just gone into labor as we got there so right after I was done eating I was going to be headed to the hospital. The wonderful staff here made a card and sent me a little gift bag with glitter in the card for her to open and celebrate her bringing life into this world. I cannot name another restaurant as thoughtful and amazing. It will definitely be a must go a few times a year for me from now on thank you to the entire staff from the chefs to the wait staff. Thank you for being so amazing.

Came in tonight for my 30th birthday. I had the espresso martini, capital cosmo and dirty goose.. all 3 were fantastic! Our server Kristin and the severing assistant Brooke were hands down some of the best servers I have had. I can not thank them enough for a great dining experience! My ribeye was cooked to perfection! My husband enjoyed his salmon. Will be back again!

Giant, flavorful, amazing steaks. High quality, customizable. The bread variety and butter was great. Seafood and lobster outstanding, especially the Mac and cheese. Props to excellent serving from Bryan A. Also, your Olive Garden (Darden) gift cards are good here! Very good portion servings and value for the costs. Would highly recommend!
