The Burrowing Owl

I liked Burrowing Owl. It has a plant based menu, so not every dish will hit the spot. I'm not a fan of meat & dairy ubstitutes, so I stick to plants and legumes. It was difficult to find dishes my kids would enjoy. I absolutely love the atmosphere as it reminds me of my "home pub" in Texas. I will be back, likely as a solo diner.

This place blows your mind that is Vegan!!! Chicken curls with ranch were addicting. BLT was excellent and sevice was awesome. Loved the decorations and how incredible the bathroom looked.

i've been vegan for 7.5 years and this is definitely one of the best vegan restaurants i've been to! really affordable pricing, the atmosphere is nice, plenty of board/card games for the group, staff is friendly. my partner and i got the nachos supreme, BLT with the soap of the day, and chicken ranch tacos to share. kids got a cheesy bean taco, mac n cheese, and the pretzel hoagie. for dessert we got the carrot cake and short bread cookie. everything was delicious. we went for lunch and it did get busy towards the end of our time there (about 1 pm) and you could tell the server was trying her best to keep up. as a past server, this didn't bother me but if you get inpatient or have somewhere to go afterwards, avoid peak hours. the male server was also friendly and informed us about their lunch punch card. i saw some reviews that its not kid friendly but i didn't get that vibe and we have been to plenty of places that do give that feel(again we went for lunch so maybe that's why) we sat on their patio because our kids (7, 2, and 8 months) are crazy and we didn't want to disrupt others in the restaurant. only real down side is there aren't any high chairs for kids but we always keep a travel one in the car so it wasn't a big deal. the bathrooms don't have changing stations but there is a dresser in one that can be used as such. we will definitely be back!

This is a paradise for the vegans. Usually when we go to a touristy destination like Colorado, we try to explore different restaurants. But, we liked Burrowing Owl so much that we continued to visit here every night we stayed. Coming to food, we tried their nachos, Mac and Cheese, and spicy tacos and we loved it. They also have variety of draft beers and plenty of board games to play. I’d highly recommend to visit here if you are a vegetarian or vegan.

While I'm not vegan, we gave the Burrowing Owl a shot on a recent visit from out of town vegans came for a visit. I was very impressed. We were greeted by a vintage scene that is tasteful and creative. Vintage beer signs cover the walls, not the bright neon but soft yellow lights. The menus are recycled album covers or magazines from years ago. The food offerings from Burrowing Owl are fitting to local "bar food" with keeping vegan and non-GMO. A wide choice of beers, cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks are available as well. The food is fantastic, the staff are approachable and kind. I've been back every week and will continue to be a patron of this establishment. It's truly unique, and it's now one of my favorite finds in COS. If you are on the fence? Hop over and have a great time. Burrowing Owl is a great place to hang out and enjoy.
