I didn't have a good experience at Surf in Portsmouth. Tried this one out with some friends on a busy Saturday night. It was busy so I can't complain about the service. He was nice. The food was just ok. Best Sushi is still the best at Karma for those who are looking but at least it was fresh. The salmon dish was delicious. The salad was fresh and yummy. The shrimp taco was average, the Portuguese stew has no flavor and the other dish there was also just ok. The drinks were good. The atmosphere was open modern concept. It is situated in a busy Plaza with mix use. Parking is hell. Wasn't a complete disappointment.

The restaurant is located in a busy shopping plaza, you may need to park a short distance from the restaurant. The restaurant has a modern vibe and a reservation is highly recommended. Prices are reasonable. This seafood restaurant does sushi very well. The tuna poke is a generously sized and the shrimp chips complements it well. The tuna is fresh and is loaded with flavors with the wasabi mayo and sweet tamari. The pressed spicy oshi tuna is amazing and really creative. This would be the dish I come back to. The shiso leaf adds a nice interesting flavor and it all goes well together.

Had the lobster roll and the Kristina Lobster. The Kristina Lobster is almost a perfect dish, the one thing that was not integrated well is the asparagus. The cold lobster roll is fantastic too, some of the best you're going to get in Boston.

Thoroughly enjoyed our dining out experience at Surf Seafood. They had Buffalo Trace available, I enjoyed a sample of each type of oyster, and the hot buttered lobster roll, my wife enjoyed the Jamaican Jerked Salmon, and we shared the peanut butter and Oreo cheesecake. Thanks, Scott!
