What a beautiful place! It is so pretty and comfy. Love the fact that they are vegan, and environment friendly. They had reusable cutlery and brown paper napkins. I just can’t appreciate enough when businesses go an extra mile to help the planet. Friendly and courteous staff. The food was very good and very filling. We ordered a carnitas burrito, a fish burrito, the 3 tacos plate and 2 donuts. We loved the burritos over the tacos and the donuts were just yummy! This is definitely a place that we would like to visit again and again. :)

A cute all-vegan Mexican restaurant located in an upscale neighborhood. Great vibes and friendly staff. We had the full-order nachos and I'll let the pic speak for itself. HUGE portion and plenty to share between multiple people.

The decor and interior of the restaurant is so cute. The nachos are a must try, we did a half order and that was enough to share for 3. We also did the 3 taco plate with chicken, al pastor and fish. All three were delish. Their carne asada burrito is good, a bit plain but we added guac and that helped! I would definitely come back

I recently dined at Sugar Taco in Long Beach and was thoroughly impressed by this vibrant, female-owned vegan Mexican restaurant. The atmosphere is inviting, with colorful decor and a cozy ambiance that immediately sets a positive tone. The menu is entirely plant-based, offering a variety of Mexican specialties that cater to both vegans and non-vegans alike. I opted for the three-taco plate, sampling the carne asada, pollo, and tofu fish tacos. Each was bursting with flavor and showcased the creativity and skill of the kitchen. I also tried the carne asada burrito, which was generously packed and incredibly satisfying, with perfectly seasoned “meat” and fresh ingredients. To complement the meal, I had one of their margaritas, which was expertly made and the perfect refreshing addition to the experience. The free chips and salsa were a delightful bonus, and the horchata was refreshingly authentic. To top it all off, I indulged in their churro donuts, which were simply divine. The staff at Sugar Taco were friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience. I also appreciate their commitment to sustainability, evident in their use of reusable plates and cutlery. Whether you’re vegan or simply looking to explore delicious plant-based options, Sugar Taco is a fantastic choice. I highly recommend it and look forward to my next visit!

Sugar taco is one of my favorite places in Long Beach to take my friends and family. I’ve been vegan for almost 10 years and it feels really good to be able to support a vegan owned establishment as well. My favorite meal to get is the fish bowl, but I love sharing the 10 taco plate with a 4+ people party. From their corn, to their beans, to their rice, they got everything down!! I also really appreciate that our server River made sure we knew everything was vegan because sometimes people can miss that and think they’re eating meat (which isn’t a bad thing for me to know!). He was kind and attentive as well. Thank you Sugar Taco!!
