The dining room is on the first floor of this charming building, and doesn't have a lot of seating, but there was plenty of space when we went. While we were having dinner, we saw the train pass by about 3 times, but it wasn't loud at all. There is a full bar with bar seating, televisions behind it, and the main dining room has two active fireplaces that are lit during the colder seasons. The food was delicious, and the drinks were rather good, as well. We ordered the caramel espresso martini and the peach palmer drinks. We did have to ask for our waters to be refilled about 3 times, but other than that, the service was very good. We ended up being the last two people in the restaurant, so we were rushed a bit towards dessert, but that was understandable as they were closing, at 10pm. There is plenty of parking for the restaurant in the back, and it is rather easy to find as well. I would certainly go back, when in the area, especially for the broccolini dish and the chowder.

Amazing food and atmosphere. Our server Elizabeth was the best. We all had fish and chips for lunch and everything was delicious. The homemade tartar sauce, cocktail sauce and ketchup are a must. This was our first visit and we will be back when we are in town to visit my mother-in-law. The historic building is so beautiful and I hope to go back for dinner and perhaps dine upstairs. The bar area is huge and very nice although we sat in the first floor dining area near a fireplace. Keep up the wonderful service and thanks for a perfect and memorable visit to Stone's Public House.

I only rate wonderful or terrible restaurants - I can’t give 3 stars. I am a fan of Irish food but this place sets the standard. The prices are ridiculously reasonable given the regions, the unique niche lore of the place, and the type of food. The service is very friendly. The food? Large servings of deliciousness. I recommend placing a reservation - the wait is justifiably long. We had the Irish pizza, the roasted cod, and the lamb shepherds pie. For dessert we had the dark chocolate lava w raspberry dish w a scoop of ice cream. I just can’t. Total bill around $120 for every drinks and some liberal spending. My only disappointment is that I can’t fit more food in. I cannot wait to come back for more!! Do yourself a favor, make the trip. You’ll be glad you did.

Great pub style restaurant. In an old inn? Good food & drink. TVs in the bar area. No carpets or curtains to dampen the noise so it's kind of loud; tables are close together. Had lamb chops with sweet potato hash & friends had fish & chips. We both enjoyed our meal. Good crowd on a Saturday evening.
