The food was good. My personal opinion: There appears to be an infusion of flavors based on the cooking staff. For example, the black-eyed peas had a spice to them. I'm from the south and not accustomed to soul food, having spiced infused black-eyed peas. The original pork based flavor was missing. Good, but not my favorite. I prefer original soul food tastes.

I was visiting from out of town and found this place on Google. It definitely is worth the price point. We didn’t have to wait. I guess we went out a good time. The food is great. I met some good local people that told me about it while my food was waiting in. The food was definitely good. This place is a gem in the city I highly recommend you take this location out if you in the Charlotte area

Fresh hot food. Great customer service. Variety of options. Lunch plate, 2 sides, and dinner rolls. Baked chicken, Mac& cheese, and seasoned rice. I RECOMMEND SOUL KITCHEN!! Most definitely will return.
