Specialties: We are a restaurant and bar off the beaten path in the south end of downtown Colorado Springs specializing in designer cocktails, delicious food, and slick atmosphere. ifyky. Established in 2001. Shuga's was created by Alexius Weston as a place to hang out with great food and really inventive cocktails. She had just come from the Northwest area of the country and wanted to create a cool space where she felt comfortable. Initially focusing on Vivace espresso as a delicious mainstay, the place soon morphed into serving amazing paninis, salads, and the out-of-this-world Brazilian Coconut Shrimp Soup. The infusion of Lavender Martinis and cocktails created with care helped launch Shuga's into the forefront of the local Colorado Springs food scene.

My favorite place in Colorado Springs! I always bring my out of town friends here. The best cheese board, great sandwiches. Excellent cocktails and coffee. My favorite is the atmosphere. Moody, great music, great ambience. Everyone should come here.

Incredible vibe, super nice staff. Amazing menu! ( I didn’t look before coming and am allergic to shellfish and I’m super sad because it looks amazing) they take precautions to avoid cross contamination I’m just deathly allergic. Go here!

Shugas is a timeless and essential restraunt and bar to our community. Such attention to what matters and not anything else but good people, food, and drinks. It is small and quaint. No matter what time you walk in, your taste buds will be awakened by some of the best balanced and flavorful dishes in the Springs. Alot of places will change their menus rigorously, but at shugas its always a comforting environment to come into something familiar and with open arms. P.S. Their coconut shrimp soup is to die for! Thanks for being so wonderful :^)

As a visitor to Colorado Springs, I’m already missing Shuga’s. I came in for both lunch and dinner during my trip and wished I had time to try the whole menu. Everything was fresh, creative, and full of flavor. The Café Tray—which features the menu highlights—was a perfect sampler. The Cuban Mojo Sandwich and Key Lime Pie were excellent. Cocktails were perfectly balanced. The space itself is as thoughtful as the food. Beautiful art prints by a local artist line the walls, each representing a year of the business. There’s a cozy garden yurt out back that offers additional seating. It’s a unique, welcoming place with real personality. The staff clearly enjoy working together—it felt like a fun, supportive, family-like crew. I was lucky to be served by Missy, who made my day. I chatted with the chef at the bar after his shift; he was totally delightful and he clued me into his favorite local spots. Free street parking was easy to find, and I’d definitely recommend checking out their website—there’s a lot of fun lore behind the place. Everything about Shuga’s is spot-on.

I went there for a late dinner as a visitor to Colorado Springs. The vibe, menu and staff were perfect. I got the all in one tray, which was a sampler of the greatest hits from the menu. It’s reasonably priced and perfect for anywhere between a quick bite to a longer dinner.
