Had a great 1st experience at Root Down. If you’re looking for a nice date spot but not breaking the bank, this is a good place to start. Sunday nights they do a $48 3 course dinner. $100 for a couple to get 2 apps, 2 entrees, and 2 desserts. Celebrated a belated Vday and they plugged us with champagne and chocolate truffles. The food was flavorful and plated beautifully. They have a cool little vibe going on in there, would 100% go back. Been to El Five and Linger, but this was the best of their restaurants imo.

Not our first time at this gem of a place. We keep coming back to excellent food and amazing people. Our server was Gigi and what a delight she is ! Super knowledgeable and full of spot on recommendations! Lots of great vegan and vegetarian options as well as very accommodating for all allergies. The red risotto was delicious and was made vegan for me and the banana cream pie dessert is something I ll dream about till next time . Oh and no matter what GET THE ESPRESSO TRUFFLES! Can’t wait till next time!

It's been a few years since I last ate at Root Down, but the food is every bit as good as I remembered. I joined a couple friends for restaurant week and we shared dishes, and everything from the appetizers to the dessert was excellent. My personal favorites were the pork and the fish entrees, along with the creative variation on carrot cake. There's nothing we ordered that I wouldn't order again. The service was also too-notch.

There aren’t enough great things I can say about this place. The flexibility with exploding our large party within the hour, the fantastic and friendly service, the amazing menu curation to the high level of execution on some of the best food in Denver! This menu has extreme consideration for gluten free and vegetarian patrons while still allowing us cannibals yummy options like lamb and short rib on the menu. This place is small, quaint and very charming. They use local farmers’ produce and it tastes like it! A Must go to!

Great food! Loved the arepas, risotto, beet salad, and banana cream pie especially. Arepas are a must! Didn’t love the lamb sliders as much, but the sweet potato fries were a great to munch on. I’m a fan of their hydroponic garden near the entrance too :)
