Superb top to bottom. We had the Koji bread plate, charred octopus, sweet potato katsu, and the meatloaf with the apple custard pie for dessert. We had been before and really enjoyed the dessert but weren’t overly impressed with the other food. However, they recently changed owners and introduced a new menu. Every single dish was outstanding, with the bread plate being a sleeper pick. Flavors were super sharp and unique. Service was unrivaled, Zach was extremely attentive and friendly as were all the other staff we interacted with. Vibe was charming and comfortable. Probably the best dining experience we have had recently!

Everything about Rood was amazing! I came here with my friends for my birthday. At first there was a scheduling error with my reservation but after a quick wait everything was sorted out. We were seated and the sever was very attentive and sweet. Great vegetarian options and I got the mussels and the octopus and it was perfectly charred and the mussels sauce was divine. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough. One of the cleveland gems!

Rood is hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Cleveland! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and just the right amount of quirky. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel at home while still being a little adventurous with its menu. The gnocchi was absolutely perfect—soft, pillowy bites in a rich, flavorful sauce that I could have eaten all night. But the real star? The desserts. Executive Pastry Chef Annabella Andricks is a true artist, and her creations are not to be missed. The salt and honey pie is an unforgettable sweet and savory masterpiece, while the Maple Miso Pie offers an incredible blend of deep, earthy flavors with a touch of sweetness that you never knew you needed. Our server, Rozilynd, was fantastic—super friendly, knowledgeable, and made great recommendations. She really elevated the whole experience, making us feel like we were regulars even though it was our first visit. Rood is the kind of place you want to come back to again and again.

My daughter's brought me here for Mother's Day and everything was perfect. Food was amazing. Service was very good .. thank you Sean. Only thing missing was pie lol .. but we will be back for some!
