Peng's is one of the best local finds I've discovered trying restaurants since my recent move to the area. I had the spicy wontons appetizer. For my main, I had string beans with ground pork, spicy chicken, and eggplant with garlic sauce casserole. Everything was delicious. The ingredients were fresh and the flavors were well considered. I highly recommend giving this place a try because my experience was delightful and I'm confident yours would be too! I look forward to trying more dishes here during future visits.

This is the best Asian food in NC I’ve ever had in my life!! Born here and never tasted such great quality until now. Felt like I was in local Chinatown with the flavors. If you’re off the plane or waiting to catch one RUN don’t walk and grab some food to go. They are worth a stop and return visit.

Food: General Tso Chicken: 5.3/10 While the chicken was perfectly cooked and crispy, the flavor profile leaned towards a bold soy tang rather than the expected spicy sweetness. The inclusion of unwanted carrots and the absence of chili peppers detracted from the authenticity of the dish. Beef Fried Rice: 6.3/10 The rice was freshly cooked, fluffy, and light, with well-cooked beef and a satisfactory portion size. However, the flavor was somewhat bland, needing more seasoning to elevate it. Cheese Wonton: 2.2/10 This dish was disappointing, with a hard, stale shell that lacked the expected crispiness and flakiness. The overall quality and taste were underwhelming. Pork Lo Mein: 6.2/10 The noodles were flavorful, with a bold Lo Mein taste and well-cooked beef, making this dish one of the more successful offerings. Value: 6.1/10 The pricing aligns with the quality and overall dining experience, making it a fair choice for those seeking a casual meal without high expectations for the dining environment.

We had the pleasure of dining in! We tried the crab rangoons and egg rolls, as well as the general tsao chicken and broccoli & beef! The appetizers were a little cooler in the middle but still really yummy! Crispy shells with great fillings! The meals were the star of the show! Fried rice pretty good but the chicken and beef were so flavorful and moist, and tasted amazing!! The sweetest couple running everything do a fantastic job, as does the chef!

Tried Peng's for the first time and I will absolutely be going back to slowly eat my way through almost everything on the menu. Everything we ordered was wonderful, especially the Mapo tofu which was one of the best renditions of the dish that I've had. Additionally, our awesome waitress remembered us from 9 years previous from a visit to Golden Palace on Capital Blvd (where she and the chef at Peng's worked at the time).
