Visiting DC to see a concert the place is close went there with my mother and 2 siblings food was great we all enjoyed the meals. Prices are high that being said you get a large portion so it’s reasonable I got the Curry chicken which was great. My mother and one of my siblings got the general tso, and another the beef Lo Mien, everyone was happy ended up spending about 80$ which is fair it’s about what I’d spend going to your run of the mill Chinese American place just with much better food.

Food was lovely! We really enjoyed the wood ear mushrooms, shangzi steamed cold noodles, the cubed fish and silken tofu-mapo style. The portions were generous and very fresh. The balance of heat and spice was perfect. We are so excited to return now that we know there is authentic Szechuan food in our neighborhood. Service was a bit cold, yet efficient.

This is the only Chinese food we get in DC! Every time we order take out we try to get something new to try their large menu. Some of our favorites include egg rolls, Szechuan chicken (pictured- tastes way better than it looks), dry braised chicken, double cooked pork, and steamed dumpling in red sauce. Everything is delicious!

Panda Gourmet is phenomenal. The food is so delicious, and the prices are great. The string beans, eggplant, Mongolian lamb, and spicy chicken are key highlights. Seriously, the food is phenomenal. One note: Panda Gourmet is really designed for family style. Come with a group, 6 or more so that you can get the variety and also share the dishes. If you're just ordering for yourself, you'll probably miss out on some of the best, since a dish that is literally 100% green beans/eggplant with nothing else is a very weird meal even if the taste is amazing!
