Disclaimer: I was traveling for work. I am not from this area. CONS: I honestly don't have very many. We waited a while for our check, but the waitress was incredibly nice so we honestly hardly noticed. You do have to mention you'd like to take advantage of the happy hour, though, or it won't show up on the check - but I didn't let that affect the review because we failed to say something. PROS: The quality of the sushi was great - the rice wasn't overcooked and the pieces were well put together. The Gamecock was my favorite, but we also ordered the Baked Salmon roll, the Hurricane roll, and Samurai roll. They have a buy-one get-one half off option for the sushi rolls which was also pretty cool. Their drink selection was also great. I'm a cider drinker and I'm always perturbed when a bar doesn't have even one option, so I have to switch to seltzer. This place had two options, one of which was one of my favorites: Blackwidow. We ordered an appetizer, which was basically just fries and spicy mayo. Still delicious! Overall: I'd definitely eat here again.

We had dinner here for the first time ever. I love the wall mural. Service from both our server and sushi chef were fantastic. The food and sake was delicious.

Extremely impressed with the food quality, menu, and atmosphere. Really cool space (with great sound design - not loud) and multiple options for seating/dining experiences. We enjoyed sitting at the sushi bar, and really enjoyed everything we ate. Excellent (and quick) service. We were sat immediately and served just as quickly. This spot is officially in our regular rotation.

I ate here for the first time tonight, and it was all-around great! I wish I could remember our server's name; she was a very sweet young girl who's just been promoted to a management position, and she deserves it, based on our experience. I had the grilled squid appetizer, and my husband had the miso to start. they were both excellent. my husband even tried my squid, which he almost never does, and he liked it! the squid has a nice balance of spice; it's definitely a sharing starter, though. I ended up not being able to finish it in order to be able to eat dinner! my husband had the spare ribs; they were a little sweet for his taste, but he recognizes that that's to be expected with Japanese seasoning, so it wasn't off-putting. they were cooked perfectly, and that's what's important. I had the samurai roll and escolar nigiri. they were both very well assembled, and the nigiri, in particular, was exceptional. the only complaint that I had, and it's small and easily fixable, is that the drinking glasses had a funny smell to them. for the water, it wasn't a problem because I could use a straw, but for my sake, it detracted from the experience. it's probably time to clean the dish machine!
