Specialties: At Napa on Providence, we're bringing the heart of California to Charlotte. Enjoy fresh, flavorful dishes made from scratch, paired with bold wines, all in a cozy atmosphere that feels like home. Just think of us as your friendly neighborhood restaurant, with a serious wine obsession. Established in 2012. Jeff and Paula Conway were on a mission—to bring a taste of Napa Valley to the Carolinas. After a magical trip through California's wine country, they were so enamored with the region's delicious food and fantastic wines that they decided to embark on a culinary adventure of their own. In 2012, Napa on Providence opened its doors, a cozy spot where friends could gather over charcuterie boards and bottles of their favorite California wines. It was more than just a restaurant—it was a love letter to Napa Valley.

We came here for a birthday dinner on a Thursday night. We had reservations and were seated promptly. Service was thorough and friendly. The food was delicious. I had the beef bourguignon and it was wonderful. We ordered the bread service for our appetizer and I highly recommend that. They have a vast wine selection for those that are into it. Definitely worth checking out.

Visited the restaurant for brunch on a Saturday. The restaurant was not busy at all. We were seated indoors because it was hot. There’s an outdoor area that is shaded and looked cozy. Loved that the restaurant had parking and it was a decent size parking lot. We ordered the monkey bread for appetizer. It was so good. Bread was a bit sticky on the fingers but the taste overshadowed all that. I ordered the Napa Benedict - it was just okay. The Benedict was dry for my liking. The potatoes were good, came out hot. My friend had the French toast and she said it was good. One thing I did note was that it took a while for the food to come out even though restaurant wasn’t that busy. Maybe they were short staffed that day. Overall, a decent experience and will be back to try out the dinner menu.

Had a great experience at Napa. Loved the airy bright decor. Really reminded me of Napa. Cauliflower bites, meatballs and flatbread for apps were all good. Good wine list too. We also got warm bread, large portion and delicious. For mains I got the filet and the blackened shrimp. Filet was a Lil rarer than I like shrimp was good. I asked for fries instead if mashed potatoes. They gave me both. Fries were great. For me the highlight was the old fashioned. It was soo good. Dessert was key lime pie, choc mousse cake and creme brulee. Creme brulee was the best.

We hosted a baby shower at Napa on Providence this past weekend and they did a fantastic job! Layla, their events manager, was wonderful to work with leading up to the event. Our two servers for the day, Hannah and Jefferson, were wonderful; so kind and accommodating. The outdoor patio space was beautiful and perfect for the occasion. Food was delicious and everyone had a great time! Thank you!

We had an absolutely exceptional evening at Napa on Providence. It was our first visit—and it definitely won’t be our last. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. Our server was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, helping to guide us through a thoughtfully curated menu. The ambiance was elegant yet comfortable—modern, light, and perfect for a special evening like our 24th wedding anniversary. The food was truly spectacular. We started with a few small plates, all of which were fresh and inventive. For our entrées, the pan-roasted duck breast was a standout—paired perfectly with the forbidden rice for a savory, deeply satisfying combination. The shrimp capellini was light, delicately balanced, and refreshingly vibrant. An absolute winner. To finish the evening, we shared the cheesecake and crème brûlée, both decadent and flawlessly executed. The cheesecake, in particular, was so fresh and absolutely delicious that I had to ask if it was made in-house—turns out it was. It was perhaps one of the best cheesecakes I’ve ever had. Napa delivered on every level: exquisite food, top-tier service, and a memorable atmosphere. A five-star experience from start to finish.
