Specialties: Marco's Coal-Fired specializes in true Neapolitan pizza, just the way they make it in Naples, Italy. From the ingredients, to the cooking techniques, and even the ovens, Marco's Coal-Fired is the closest thing you'll get to Italy in Colorado! Established in 2008. Mark Dym and Kristy Latorraca Dym opened their first pizzeria to celebrate the tradition of fine Neapolitan pizza. Instead of conforming to the American styles of pizza, Mark went directly to the source to master the art of true pizza-making from Naples, the birthplace of pizza. Voted Denver's best pizzeria by Westword and 5280 magazine, Marco's Coal-Fired started with the simple idea that passion makes great pizza. By training under the best Pizzaiuoli master craftsmen in the world, Mark and his team were awarded certification by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana, and are to this day the only certified Neapolitan pizzeria in the state of Colorado. With authentic Italian pizza, we warmly welcome you to share in the experience of Pizza Fired by Passion.

We arrived promptly at our 11:00 reservation. It was not necessarily needed, but after about 20 minutes, they were a bit busy. The restaurant was lit with tinted windows. The booths seemed to help with noise level as well. Unfortunately, there was only was server taking care of the multiple tables - not enough especially since the kitchen seemed to be preparing pizzas non-stop and it seemed it was also the server's job to slice all of them. We ordered the Brooklyn and Hell's Kitchen pies. We were hoping for leftovers, but both were delicious, and the dough was pretty thin, making it easy for us to finish both of them for lunch. The meats on both were fantastic - above the bar. Now, I just have to find out the name / brand of those meats and to head back to try The Butcher.

Best pizza in Colorado! The staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was very good. Quality ingredients, good variety and delicious. We had a mix of salads, appetizers, pizzas and entrees. Loved the Arrosto salad and vegan margarita pizza. The restaurant was a bit loud, so it was a little hard to hear conversations at our table. Parking was a little challenging,, but definitely worth it!

If I could give Marcos more than five stars, I would. From the moment we walked in, Katy the hostess welcomed us like family—warm, genuine, and smiling like she owned the place in the best way. She set the tone for what turned out to be one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. Our server Tiki was a total rockstar. Attentive, upbeat, and full of great recommendations. She made sure our drinks were full, our table was clear, and our hearts were full too. And don’t even get me started on the food. The woodfired pizza was absolutely next level. But here’s the part that most places can’t match—the cooks at the oven were incredible. Not just skilled (you can taste the craftsmanship), but cool, friendly, and totally in their element. Watching them work was part of the experience. Flames dancing, dough flying, smiles all around. Marcos isn’t just a pizza spot. It’s a vibe, a family, and a flavor all its own. Big thanks to Katy, Tiki, and the entire crew behind the scenes. We’ll be back soon and we’re bringing friends.
