We were looking for brunch on the way back to San Diego from LAX. My husband found this place and it was a cute one! The brunch food is fusion style, kinda different than a regular brunch place. The foods are nicely cooked and beautifully plated. But I won’t say it’s very delicious, I might love the normal style brunch better which is more homey and hearty. But this place is definitely great for dating or friends gathering.

Love the atmosphere of this place! We came here for brunch after the beach with a planned reservation. The waitstaff was really friendly and nice. We started out with a Bloody Mary. Super flavorful but a bit salty for my taste. The Cheddar Biscuits are super delish here! One of their most popular and must try. The Steak and Eggs were cooked well and full of flavor. The burrito was very filling but found the white rice to be a bit too plain. The Pecan Sticky Buns was a great way to end. Not overly decadent but hit the sweet tooth.

Here is the review of this place. 1- Decoration 10/10: a nice style, modern with a little touch French, Spain 2- Ambiance 10/10: The ambiance was fantastic. There were a lot of people at the bar. Everybody was having fun.The music was not too loud. 3- service 10/10: The service was perfect from the host to the waiters and crew. Everybody was very polite and kind, some even spoke different languages. 4-food 10/10: The food was amazing. It doesn't have a michelin star for nothing.Chef, is very good. 5- cleanest 10/10: i was very surprised at how clean it was and at the same time. That's how it should be. It shouldn't smell. There's nothing worse that, after having a very good dinner and going to the bathroom and it smells, but here it's not the case, congrats to the staff of the bathroom.

Most of the dishes we ordered tasted great. The pasta was undercooked, so it was still hard inside, though. The best one was golden beets salad. The Mexico tiramisu cake was the worst dish, so we didn't finish it. It's too sweet and too unhealthy like some would say diabetes on a plate. When you leave a restaurant feeling full but not heavy like you just drop a rock in your gut, or unsatisfy and want to eat something else to cover the taste, then their food has nutrients dense. MBP is that - their foods are moderately nutrient dense. Definitely recommend it. Just maybe skip dessert if you value your health. Otherwise, go nuts.
