Specialties: Organic, plant-based, and mostly gluten-free. Serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, juices, smoothies, desserts. Established in 2011. Living Kitchen started out of a love for preparing and eating organic, delicious plant-based foods. We wanted to eat more mindfully, but couldn't find restaurants or products that delivered the flavor we were craving. So we decided to do it ourselves. Preparing real food made from living ingredients is only part of our mission. It is equally important that the food we serve is unapologetically delicious. At Living Kitchen, the food we prepare is a labor of love. Everything we make is 100% organic, plant-based and locally sourced. We opened our flagship location in the historic South End neighborhood of Charlotte in 2011 as Luna’s Living Kitchen, and shortened the name to Living Kitchen in the summer of 2016. We serve a variety of dishes, traditional and unique, including plant-based creations of many classic dishes, from Pizza and Burgers to Pad Thai and Sushi. You can find something to satisfy and nourish you for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert.

Amazingly delicious vegetarian food! I’m not vegetarian by any means, but wow this food really hit the spot. To be honest if I could always eat like this I would consider going vegetarian. The nachos were delicious, make sure you get those. At first I was a bit confused on how a burrito wrapped in a leaf would work, but it was great! Definitely recommend this place, if I’m ever in Charlotte again I’ll for sure stop here for some delicious food.

I recently started eating a vegan diet under recommendation from my physician — but eating out has been hard. I was so happy find a dedicated vegan restaurant on a day trip to Charlotte and was especially happy that even their vegan cheeses were house-made from good ingredients. We each ordered something different and traded bites and all were delicious. If you like spicy, try the Chipotle Quesadilla. The Fire & Brimstone burger was also delicious. And the Broccoli and Mushroom Flatbread also hit the spot — love the crispy crust. I wouldn’t hesitate to bring omnivore friends here with me for a meal as the food was that good. I will look forward to coming back.

Amazing restaurant!!! Everything is so fresh and it’s evident in the quality that the food is made from whole, healthy ingredients. Its food that tastes incredible and leaves you feeling great too, which is surprisingly hard to find! I’ve been vegan for ~10 years and this is one of my absolute favorite vegan restaurants (and I’ve brought non-vegans who loved it too!). High recommend!!

We had an amazing experience at this restaurant upon arrival. The atmosphere was certainly a great vibe with live music and quaint table settings. We were greeted more than once by the staff. Our server was knowledgeable and informative. The food was delicious and the desert didn’t disappoint. This vegetarian organic restaurant is a must try.

We were visiting family in Charlotte, NC, and fortunately my husband found Luna’s Living Kitchen. I am gluten and dairy intolerant and was delighted to find I could have just about everything on the menu. We were happy to be seated with no wait. Our server was very knowledgeable, personable, and attentive. Ended up ordering food to take home with us. Highly recommended.
