La Forchetta is my favorite restaurant in Pueblo! Excellent Italian food for reasonable prices. My favorite is the Pueblo ravioli- it’s not too spicy and full of flavor. My husband loves the ribeye and potatoes. My mom loves the Bolognese and my dad loves their take on Alfredo. The affogato was good but the presentation is far from traditional, watch how you pour. 10/10 would eat again and again!!! Such a hidden gem in Pueblo!!!

We came there on a Saturday evening for a dinner on a recommendation of the local chef who likes this place a lot. I tried to call to book a table and no one responded but I doubt we’d get a table anyway because the place seems to be very popular and they already had a ton of reservations lined up. They offered us seating either at the bar or on the patio outside. We chose the bar because the evening was going to be chilly and, to my surprise, it wasn’t loud at all. We felt like there were only the two of us there and enjoyed our time having a dinner. I have to say that food is expensive there. Even more expensive than you would find in the Springs and Denver. It’s made well and has a nice twist to it but get prepared to spend over $100 on a dinner even without alcohol. Portions won’t be large either. We ordered a Mediterranean salad to share and two entrees: lamb ribs and steak. We liked that both came with a side of greens. I don’t eat lamb but my husband liked his dish. I found it weird that while the octopus, for example, is priced upfront, their steak price is “market”, so you won’t know how much it will cost you until you get a bill. I probably shouldn’t have ordered a steak at the Italian place but I was craving it, so I decided to give it a try. I would say for the price I paid ($38), I could have had a better steak pretty much anywhere. It was small and tasted like it was boiled instead of fried. I wasn’t too disappointed because only a few places for some reason can cook a well-done steak properly but this one also had a weird aftertaste of liver, so I’d say the cut itself could have been better quality. This is the reason why I don’t give the place a five. Since we spent quite some time there and our portions were fairly small, we also went for coffees and desserts. Both tiramisu and chocolate cake were fresh and delicious, and our coffees were good, too. Service was great and the lady at the bar was really charming. I would probably come back for coffees and desserts if I come to Pueblo again.

What a gem! The food was top notch authentic Italian. We were seated at the bar and after our meal, the owner/Chef engaged us in conversation and we learned his story of how he landed in Pueblo. My work associate mentioned that he was traveling to Italy this summer. The owner went to the back to get his phone and shared the best off the beaten path places to visit. It made us feel like we had been invited into his home for the evening. I will be back time I am in the area.

My boyfriend, friend, and myself al decided to eat here for dinner last Wednesday. We’re from missouri, so this was our “nice dinner out” for our vacation. Our server had blonde hair and thick glasses. She didn’t seem happy that we were there, we kinda felt like a bother to her. We asked lots of questions about the menu as we’ve never had authentic Italian and we were excited/curious. She was helpful and got our order in. When we received our food it was all delicious! Definitely worth it! Towards the end our server was a lot more friendly and we even saw a smile! 😊 We would come back again!

I absolutely LOVED this place! The salmon was exceptional! The only reason I give 4 for food is that I wanted vegetables and was told only salads were available. I saw yummy veggies on other plates so not sure why I was unable to get them. Otherwise, I would go back tomorrow (BTW, desert and coffee are spot on!).
