Kona is pretty good if I'm in the mood for Hawaiian bbq and don't feel like driving I go to Kona . The food is always fresh. I honestly just feel the meats are bland kinda . But it's all cooked well and the sides are good. I would recommend this place. And I'll probably be back again

After living in Arvada/Wheat Ridge for several years, I finally got to try out Kona Hawaiian BBQ and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. The neighborhood is not really known for its diversity in food but Kona is a much-needed delicious Hawaiian BBQ spot. I’ve only tried their Aloha Plate with 2 sides (BBQ Chicken and Kona Fire Chicken) and spam musubi and everything was well-made and delicious. The Aloha Plate comes with either 1 side or 2 sides (2 sides was a dollar more), salad, cucumbers, and rice. The ratio of everything is perfect but I wish there was a bit more rice. Not a big deal at all. One thing I would like to point out in particular is that many, many places I’ve been to mess up orders when asked to put a sauce on the side or something similar but the people at Kona got everything perfectly. tl;dr: Great food, good service. But those chairs gotta go! Finally a great, traditional plate lunch place! Stopped in for earlier dinner and went straight for the BBQ Mix and Musubis. Food came out quick, was well prepared and delicious. The galbi ribs and teri beef were nicely grilled and delicious. The bbq chicken was not overcooked and was equally good. Mac salad was perfect, not too saucy (which can happen and it destroys the dish). Highly recommend a musubi if you want a little snacketizer.

Super chill spot service was smooth & most importantly, the food was amazing 🤌🏽 some of the best Hawaiian I've had. It's loaded with flavor. The steamed cabbage was such a great touch. The mac was delicious & the rice was not dry like other places. They have an amazing selection of meats. Will definitely be coming back.
