Reserved a dinner for three on a Friday night and left very happy with the experience. The Wind Rises and Maya Bae cocktails were both good but the Maya Bae really stood out. Ours starters were Cucumbers, Red Cabbage + Subarashii Pear, and Truffle Edamame. Every bite offered a new flavor and it was a great balance. I definitely suggest the Szechuan Dumplings. They were savory and my favorite by far. The Biang Biang Chicken Bao was delayed, but our server Clayton took care of us! It was good and what you expect for a chicken bao. We were excited for the Spicy Lamb Dan Dan, but it was very peanut-heavy making it hard to taste much else, and we had hoped for more spice. For dessert, the Matcha Tiramisu was good in flavor but inconsistent in build, while the Boozy Ice Cream Sandwich was top tier. We'll definitely be back for more though. The vibes and service were great!

Super cute. Love the atmosphere and vibe. Menu was diverse. Worthy of a few trips because my stomach is too small. Although I wished some of the flavors were a little stronger and more distinct, I loved everything else about this restaurant.

We came here for Christmas Eve dinner for happy hour. I am giving 5 ⭐️ because the food and our server ended up being amazingggg. But we waited at least 10 minutes before being acknowledged. Our server had just clocked into work and no one told her she had a table. She was very apologetic and was an amazing server. The food is incredible. You must get the shaved broccoli— it sounds weird but trust me, so good. The fried chicken bao bun, ramen and kimchi noodles were also all were tasty. I’d definitely come here again.

Delicious modern Japanese foods and drinks in Denver, CO. The sake selection is great, all the foods are delicious and not heavy. A great option for a healthy dinner! The atmosphere is fresh and modern. Very recommended 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

In the Age of Information anyone off the street can make good food, chefs should be expected to make great food, and the best restaurants need to be SPECIAL. Kawa Ni was special. Each dish had exquisite balance and most had a surprising element to it. This was the best meal I’ve had in over a year. Here’s my breakdown of each dish we had: SPECIAL: - Addictive Cabbage, as good as a cabbage salad can get - Szechuan Dumplings, carried some heat but a perfect dumpling with a hit of citrus - Chicken Bao (pictured), sweet and spicy with the perfect amount of sauce and a fluffy perfect Bao bun - Cold Sesame Noodles, don’t sleep on this dish. Might’ve been the best of the night. So many fun flavors, I’m not even sure how they do it. Great - Crab Rangoons, honestly these are close to belonging in special but it wasn’t as powerful of a dish compared to the rest. Would still highly recommend. Good - Hamachi, this is usually my favorite item on most menus. Compared to the rest of the dishes this just didn’t pop. Would still recommend this if it were a different restaurant with not as special of fare. Doing this meal over I would’ve swapped this for the spicy tuna rice cakes. Only knock on this place is that the hostess didn’t acknowledge us for like 10 minutes and we had to seek them out to check in. We then sat at the bar and had great service from really friendly and fun staff.
