I’ve eaten there twice now. The first time, I had The Taste of NOLA, and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since—it was that good. I went again last night and tried the Magnolia Catfish, and once again, it did not disappoint!

First of all, Adriana started to take care of me and gave the scoop as soon as I walked in the door. Kaley ( hope I spelled it right) took my order, but there was a glitch, she fixed it, and I ended up with something better than I had originally, plus I got a chance to chat with her. Jessie's has a high-energy, fun vibe with excellent service from everyone. It seems everyone was happy to be working there. I got 1/2 po' boy special with catfish and it cane with cajun fries and another side. I got a cup of red beans and rice. At first bite the catfish tasted a little salty and the sandwich was a little dry, but that was easily fixed with a little hot sauce. I liked the red beans and rice, but if you don't like a spicy kick you might not like them. They had a nice peppery taste. Come check it out, it has the feel of a neighborhood restaurant.

I’m not really big on Cajun food, but tried this out with friends after going to a movie. You seat yourself, order at the counter first, then they bring the order to your table. I decided on the Gumbalaya. Tried just a cup full-$6. It was Delicious! The sausage and chicken fell apart in my mouth. The soup flavor, okra, veggies, topped with red rice was superb! Check out the picture. If you’re looking for a casual place, you’ve found it. Good Cajun food 👍 They do serve alcoholic beverages. I can’t speak to that because I drank water.

Food was good and nice portions...the garlic bread is delicious and tasted like a meal alone!!...we ordered some to go...the fish was really good...not over seasoned...had the Mac and cheese been baked, it would have made it even better...the gumbo was good, finally one without a tomato base!
