Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar in Colorado Springs is an absolute gem, especially during the holiday season! 🎄 The Christmassy decorations are stunning – a true delight for any holiday enthusiast like me. I love that they’re even selling festive mugs and glasses, so you can bring the Christmas spirit back home with you! (It also makes for a perfect present for your friends or family who enjoy Christmassy-themed items.) The staff was super friendly and attentive and the food was fantastic, too! We loved the fish and chips and calamari – fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. If you're looking for a cozy, festive spot with amazing food and service, Jax is the place to be. I highly recommend it!

Our server, Nick, was an extra cherry on top. His energy and attentiveness went the extra mile. We had the house oysters, hush puppies, gumbo fries, lobster deviled eggs, and mussels. The warm bread at the start was even top tier paired with the seasoned herb to dip. I usually take photos of everything, but only walked away with a photo of our oysters because we were so blown away after that. You need to try this place, and for the happy hour time we went, the bill was shockingly good. 10/10, a must try!

Absolutely outstanding experience! I took my wife here for her 50th birthday yesterday. I reserved online via OpenTable the day prior and let them know it was her 50th birthday in the notes. When we arrived, we were met by Carter, who took us to the table - the restaurant already had it set up with a flight of oysters and a Happy Birthday greeting on the table (and the oyster flight was complimentary)! We immediately felt so well taken care of. That did not change throughout our meal. Carter attended to us so conscientiously; he was genuinely friendly, never let our glasses get emptied, and was extremely knowledgeable about all the offerings. A manager also came by multiple times to check on us as well. The service was, quite frankly, as good as Michelin-star restaurants I have visited (no joke)! The ambience was also great; see attached pics. We had several flights of oysters, both raw (East and West Coast) and cooked (miso and BBQ, just to try them). My wife had a delicious mimosa along with the Nicoise tuna salad, with the lobster deviled eggs as an appetizer. I had the hush puppies as an appetizer, and the seafood chowder as my entree. The presentation was gorgeous on all of the above. The deviled eggs were some of the best I ever tasted, and the seafood chowder was meticulously arranged, with each of the shelled mussels having an equal amount vegetables seemingly placed within them by the chef. The chowder was mostly different types of seafood and vegetables; very little broth (an excellent value). All-in-all, everything was absolutely delicious. Carter even took our picture before we left, and was meticulous about the location and framing of it. :-) Definitely, definitely recommend this outstanding restaurant - your expectations will be exceeded!

I came here on a Tuesday night and it was not that packed. Itried the Oysters and Cauliflower Risotto followed by Crème Brûlée Lime Tart. I think next time I come I will stick to simple seafood and not try anything odd because i was not impressed with my entree. Highly recommend the Sunset and Jax Oysters. Super fresh. Oysters were delicious - I loved the sunset and Jax oysters the most. The black magic oyster seemed a bit off so my stomach didn’t really like it. Cauliflower Risotto - most of the taste here came from lemon or something sour. I couldn’t taste anything but a lemon sort of flavor which overpowered the mushrooms and vegetables. I was not a big fan of this dish. The scallops were delicious though. Crème Brûlée Lime Tart - This was too bitter for my taste so I didn’t enjoy it much.

This is your DATE NIGHT SPOT- want to impress and not have to get fancy dressed this is the place. You draw on the tables and order al a carte oysters and drinks and you have the best time with good music and an excellent staff. The food is worth it. Book a table ahead of time in the app and they will feed you until you bust. Enjoy.
