OMG, my experience here was amazing. My server Ben "Apple", was so pleasing. I had my birthday dinner there & he made it even better, he was so attentive & nice. He deserves a raise. The food & drinks were superb. Thats spinach dip & the rib was to die for. I had 2 cocktails. I would had stay longer, but the drinks started to kick lol. I'm definitely coming back. Everything was fantastic !!!!!

The relaxed atmosphere combined and cuisine prepared to perfection makes J Alexander's one of Raleigh's finest restaurants. Perfect dining environment to close a business deal or to catch up with an old friend. I "Highly Recommend, especially the CRABCAKES!!!

My wife and I had a wonderful meal at J. Alexander’s in Raleigh today. We both ordered the Cod Fish Sandwich special, and it did not disappoint. The fish was fried to perfection—crispy on the outside and tender inside—while the tangy remoulade added a delicious twist, reminiscent of tartar sauce but even better. Though the overcast day made the restaurant feel a bit darker than usual, the cozy ambiance brought to mind other great fine dining spots in the area. Definitely worth a visit!

Okay where do I begin? This is def one of my all time favorites in Raleigh, and I am a Raleigh native. The parking here is plentiful and every parking spot seems to be close to the restaurant. Upon walking in you are greeted by some of the most beautiful smiles in all of the world! These people PRIORITIZE customer experience! The lighting is dim enough to enjoy conversations with friends, family, spouses or side pieces 😜 Okay but on a serious note, very intimate atmosphere. Now I’ve been to this restaurant on so many occasions, but I enjoyed this one the most. My waitress was Alexys and she recommended the Calamari. I gave up meat for lent and decided to try it alongside my veggie burger. Okay yall, I’m gonna say this and you can quote me! “Chi Chi said they have the best CALAMARI AND VEGGIE BURGERS IN RALEIGH! PERIOD!” That includes Italian restaurants and “gourmet burger” joints! If you find a better plate of calamari or veggie burger, show me! This beautiful restaurant is in a safe part of the city, with great food, generous portions, great people, and phenomenal prices. Do not leave Raleigh without trying this gem! You’re welcome 😉

I had an amazing lunch today at J Alexander’s in Raleigh, NC. It was a perfect example of five-star service and delicious food. From the warm greeting and smile from the hostess to my knowledgeable server, Anthony, and the flavorful fresh food from the chef’s kitchen, the entire dining experience truly exemplified a top-tier restaurant. It’s rare to find an overall experience where everything is firing on all cylinders. The lunch menu offered so many mouth-watering choices that it was challenging to make a decision. I ultimately chose the fresh ground salmon burger, and Anthony also suggested a cucumber salad as an option. The presentation of my meal was so spectacular that a passing customer exclaimed, “I want what he’s having!” I opted to hold off on the goat cheese to fully enjoy the sweet freshness of the marinated cucumbers, which perfectly complemented the delicious salmon burger. It was topped with beautiful arugula and accompanied by freshly made remoulade, all resting on a freshly baked bun. My only regret was not ordering a paired wine. I had no idea that the lunch menu would excite my taste buds to such a degree that only a good bottle of wine could satisfy. Thank you, Anthony and the entire J Alexander’s team, for what must be the best Saturday lunch menu in North Carolina!
