Hogfish Seafood and Smokehouse

Hogfish has a nice fun, relaxed atmosphere. Very laid back and inviting. They have a nice patio seating area and plenty of space inside. It's very clean and you can tell that it is managed well. The servers are great. Very attentive. The food was tasty. I ordered catfish and it came with two sides and some hush puppies. As well as some wings and a salad. I know in this economy that food prices are extremely high. I do think that it was a little overpriced but again in this economy everybody is kind of struggling to keep up. For example, a chicken salad was $17. In my opinion I think that's overpriced. Maybe if it was $12 to $14 I could understand but $17 almost $20 is out of range and then if you wanted to add fish to it it becomes $24. But back to the food everything came out extremely hot, fresh and delicious. The catfish was a little undersized but it was fine. The smoked chicken wings were just okay. I wouldn't say that they were my absolute favorite but they were just fine. I'll touch dry. I maybe would have brined them especially if I was going to smoke them because the inside was not very juicy. I probably wouldn't order them again. But I would go back there to try some different dishes again. The price was a little bit more than I loved, but of course we paid for it and we enjoyed our experience.

Food ordered: Appetizer: chips and queso with brisket Main courses: Pork sandwich Brisket sandwich Ribs Sausage links Drinks: Coke and mixed drink. Review: This place is legit for BBQ and then some. Brent (owner) has over the past 7 years, dialed in some amazing dishes. The brisket is moist and the ribs are to die for. The pork was also amazing and the sausage links have perfect snap and thay flavor..... BBQ sauce is not too sweet but at the same time does not have that vinegar back end that some places have. I have not tried them but I hear from reviews and from other patrons at the place that their chicken wings are just excellent and I look forward to trying them on our next visit. According to the owner they have a wings special every Wednesday so give this place a try... the fish and seafood options are excellent as well as we have tried them in a previous visit but the star here is the BBQ. Fries are great and the broccoli is buttery and crisp. Oh... and the pico is freshly made and you can tell this guy cares about quality execution. Service could be better and that is the only negative thing I have to say but I also realize how difficult it is to get good heads up staff these days. Go try this place out.. be patient and you will not be disappointed.

Their food and service is amazing!! We started off with a couple appetizers, the Calamari and Fried Mushrooms and it was the best Calamari I have ever had at a restaurant and the fried mushrooms were yummo. The breading they put on those were super tasty! The traditional wings (I got the hot buffalo) were the BEST wings I've ever tasted. The rub was spicy and the wings were cooked to perfection. They also have a choice of smoked wings as well. My husband and Mother got the Ribs and Catfish and that was 10 out of 10. Our server was VERY attentive which is awesome. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because I ordered 2 margaritas and they were VERY good but could've used a little more tequila 😉

So far this was some of the better food I've had in Loveland. Wings were a really nice texture although I had hoped the hot wings would be a little... More hot. Was very impressed with the bartender and wait staff, they had a sense of urgency and an heir of proficiency. I will say that the BBQ ribs and brisket were both a little dry but not exactly lacking I'm flavor. The place is cool inside, the food was good and the service was better. It's worth stopping in if you haven't. Will update after trying a couple more menu items

Really enjoyed a dinner out with my wife last night. The food and service were on point. I had a brisket sandwich that I'd easily order again in a heartbeat. My wife had a Hawaiian pulled pork that she really enjoyed as well. The sides were impressive as well. We had baked beans and red potatoe salad. The atmosphere is really informal and more like a sports bar feel. On a better weather day, I'd probably look to sit outside and get away from the TV screens, but it was rainy and cold when we went. I'm happy to recommend this place to anyone and plan to return at some point.
