This was everything we were looking for and more! It’s been on my son‘s list to try, so glad we finally made it. We started with the Ricotta Mozzarella Fritters, warm gooey deliciousness. Our entrees were the Veggie Jambalaya and the Blackened Catfish Po’Boy. Both were absolutely scrumptious. Great cocktail and beer selection. Everything about our evening was wonderful from start to finish. Excellent food, service and a very welcoming neighborhood vibe. Highland kitchen will definitely be added into our rotation of favorites.

Really enjoyed dinner here. Ever since visiting New Orleans I always keep my eye out for good Cajun. Glad this place came across my lap. Highly recommend the gumbo and catfish po boy!

It's a cozy place. We went on Friday and it was pretty loud. We got roasted chicken and goat stew. Both were pretty good. No real complaints. It's like Southern comfort food. We also got the bread pudding. The bread pudding was delicious. Giving it four stars for service because they didn't refill our water :(.

This restaurant is always crowded and very loud. However, the food was excellent. We had the Bavarian pretzel (very good), Buffalo Chicken sandwich & fries, and salmon special with avocado & pineapple salsa. My son said the fries were excellent. They also have an extensive drink menu. I enjoyed a mango, rum & ginger beer cocktail. Tables are very close together, so hard to maneuver and to talk. They have an inventive menu & old standbys. You will find something for everyone. Great service despite the crowd. Our waitress did a great job. I would go back again.

A lively place with great food with a New Orleans spin. We had the fried chicken sandwich and the blackened catfish Po boy with excellent hand cut fries -$5 Narragansett drafts, $12 cocktails. The staff was friendly and seemed happy to be working at this upbeat, cosy place. Kind of loud with a packed bar and restaurant so it's not a place to have a conversation, just great food at reasonable prices. We waited about 20 minutes for a table on a Friday night around 6:30.
