3.5/5 Stars! A Mixed Bag at Hawkers I've been a loyal customer at Hawkers for years, and I've seen the restaurant go through its ups and downs. While I adore the Neptune Beach location, my experience at the Riverside spot has been inconsistent. Unfortunately, my latest visit fell short of my expectations. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was lively, but the food was a letdown. I ordered the Vietnamese "Goi Gá" Salad, which I've had before and loved. However, this time it came out tasting surprisingly plain, with zero heat. I was expecting a spicy kick, but it was completely missing. To make matters worse, my husband's beef noodles arrived first, despite us being the first to order. It was a small mistake, but it added to my overall disappointment. I want to emphasize that Hawkers has always been a favorite of mine, and I've had many great experiences at the Neptune Beach location. However, this visit to the Riverside spot was a miss.

Hawkers is the only reason I still go to Five Points. The service is always great and the servers don't act fake or stuffy. I have probably had 7 different entrees, all the appetizers they offer, and a wide array of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. I've never once tasted anything from there I did not LOVE. It's affordable for almost any budget. Me and my girlfriend got two entrees, two cocktails, and 3 appetizers for under $100. Cozy, Authentic, and Delicious. 10/10

The food was great and the atmosphere was fun. Our waitress, Jenn, was very responsive to our needs and an absolute hoot! She paid attention to my friend’s food allergies and confirmed that each selection wasn’t going to be a problem.

Very cool Asian Fusion spot. We were visiting from STL and dropped in for a late lunch. Ordered a Pain Killer and the 5 Spice Old Fashioned for some libations. Followed up with the Pad Thai, Korean BBQ wings, Flat Bread with coconut curry, and some pork filled Bao. Food comes out all over the place in no particular order but they tell you that up front. It was delicious!

The question is not if I will come back, but how soon? The food here is spectacular. I'm a sucker for a menu where I can feel good about tasting a whole bunch of stuff on the menu instead of just 1 or 2 things. A few of our faves: Soup Dumplings (ALL DAY LONG!!), Bao Buns-Duck, Chili Crisp Cucumbers, Satay Chicken Street Skewers, and Singapore Mei Fun. Let me say, the Bao Buns are so flavorful even without anything on them. I also suggest the 10000 ways Sake. If you aren't sure what type of sake you like get the flight, but the better deal is to be adventurous and get the cup. Go here. Get great service and amazing food. A true gem!
