We had such fun! The seafood was delicious, as were the drinks and fried ice cream. The owner, Vicky, was a phenomenal host. Her warmth and humor added to the meal. My husband had Cajun clams and scallops, and I had catfish and steamed gyoza. This was out first visit and we will definitely be back!

Listen- this place has the freshest crab in the Boston Metro area- that alone is enough but then they mix the delicious snow crab with a spicy savory Cajun heat, steamed in a bag with sausage, lobster, shrimp, noodles, potatoes and it’s the most aromatic, sensory experience. Fully customizable. Dawn your bib and gloves and lose yourself in the steamy bag and appreciate the surroundings of an amazing family owned business that is making incredibly good food and working incredibly Hard. I love happy crab but I won’t gate keep it- Somerville needs to know that Happy Crab is one of the best restaurants around and don’t judge it on the takeout because it’s so much more than what you receive in your take out container.

i get the seafood boil bags everytime i come and its delicious and priced well. the atmosphere is friendly and the family who runs the restaurant is lovely. we got cajun edamame and fried softshell crab with our bags this time and it was so good!
