We discovered Gokoku Ramen while looking for veg sushi and seeing the reviews decided to try it. Starting from a great service to our helpful Server Olivia, who suggested things we should try and then the amazing food, we were soo much in love with the place that ended up ordering from it twice more before leaving LA. Everything we ordered was amazing, potato croquettes, cauliflower wings, Inari roll, popcorn roll, philadelphia roll and mushroom ramen. Mushroom ramen was my absolute favourite.. the quantity and the taste was just perfect! Too yummy and all varieties of mushroom mentioned were put in perfect quantity. I wish they had a branch in NorCal as I will definitely miss their yummy dishes there! But anytime I’m in LA, will be eager to try more dishes on their menu. Definitely recommend to vegans & vegetarians looking to have yummy ramen and sushi

Very good vegan restaurant, I wanted to take my wife to a complete vegetarian restaurant, we found Mexican, sushi/ramen are options in the town. She chose sushi as she never tried. And she loved the ramen. And the service is good.

Loved it. I recommend the dynamite roll and the crunchy spicy tuna roll, as well as the salmon roll. The teriyaki chicken was also delicious.

Their dumplings and ramen were so delicious, you can adjust the spice level of your ramen. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Need to go back to try other dishes.

I could tell this was more than just another vegan spot—it was something thoughtfully crafted, deeply flavorful, and refreshingly welcoming. I kicked off my meal with the Bulgogi Vegan Bao Buns, and wow—pure magic. The smoky barbecued wood ear and shiitake mushrooms were masterfully done, and the way they paired with the pillowy softness of the bao was next level. The crispy cabbage tossed in Panko bread crumbs gave it a satisfying crunch that I didn’t even know I needed. The cucumber salad with seaweed and vinaigrette came through like a refreshing wave—light but umami-rich. The added dried wood ear mushrooms added an earthy texture that made the dish pop. It’s the kind of thing I’d usually order on instinct—and this one exceeded my expectations. The Dynamite Roll—jalapeños stuffed and oozing with cheese and tuna, topped with crispy fried shallots and a mystery red sauce—was a flavor bomb. The sauce was very spicy but deliciously addictive. I’m still trying to figure out what’s in it, but I’m not mad at the mystery—only more eager to return. Then came the House Yaki Udon—stir-fried udon noodles tossed with cabbage, bell pepper, broccoli, bok choy, and onions in a savory black sauce. Every vegetable had its moment to shine, and the combination gave me flashbacks to a beloved vegan spot that unfortunately closed down. This dish filled that void and then some. (in-store only item 😁) On top of the flavor-packed menu, the service deserves a shoutout. The staff was incredibly attentive—each time I finished a dish, someone was right there, not in a rush, but just perfectly timed. It made the experience feel personal and cared for. Without question, I’ll be returning—and bringing guests. Goku Vegetarian Ramen has become my new go-to for bold, inventive vegan eats that hit every note.
