We came here for a nice dinner at 8pm on a Sunday. I docked one star because they were out of almost everything I wanted. Wine? No, pick another. Not that one either, pick another. No. It was 30 minutes before they finally found a suitable bottle. They were out of the two appetizers we wanted so we got two others. Didn't like that I had to peel the shrimp app myself while it's covered in red sauce with butter that wanted to fling everywhere. Nobody really wants to peel their own shrimp. Especially when covered in something they don't want all over their shirt. They were out of the "all the meats" dinner. They had just sold the last one to a table next to us that got there 15 minutes after we did. But the bottle of wine snafu cost us ordering first I guess. They didn't have filet mignon skewers... Okay... Chicken I guess. It was good. My wife got rib cap beef and it was good. Paired well with the Cabernet franc that we ended up with. They did give us a tasty tiramisu for the troubles of not having anything we wanted as our first picks. Note to self: come here earlier in the week and earlier in the day.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Gaucho Grill in Downey, and I was blown away by the exceptional quality of their meats! As a self-proclaimed carnivore, I was in heaven from the moment I walked in. The menu boasts an impressive selection of premium cuts, and we opted to try a few different options. The grilled skirt steak was cooked to perfection, with a beautiful char on the outside and a tender, juicy interior. The flavors were bold and rich, with just the right amount of seasoning. But what truly stole the show was the incredible service. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and happy to guide us through the menu, offering expert recommendations and ensuring that our glasses were always full. The atmosphere was lively and energetic, with a fun and vibrant vibe that added to the overall dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend Gaucho Grill Downey to anyone who loves great meat. With its exceptional cuisine, top-notch service, and lively atmosphere, this restaurant is sure to become a new favorite!

Matius excellent service made our experience special. Serving us as we were family. We has the short rib and pasta with a red sauce and green olives. My mouth still waters thinking about this dish. The dipping sauce was a great start to the flavors I had throughout the meal. Oh the spinach and cheese empanada was so delicious. I could have eaten 3. Enjoyed every bite.

My first experience being here was with Luis the Bartender. He’s a really friendly Man and has been attentive and awesome all around. Most of the staff here are welcoming and great in what they do. As a Bartender myself, I wouldn’t expect any less. The food is great and their happy hour specials. I only come around because this feels like home. A place to be welcomed and loved, and the love of food they serve. Cocktails are great too! It’s a perfect place to hang around with friends or family. This is my getaway place. Props to management and staff. Keep up the good work. Peace and Love.

We enjoyed it here so much, we're already planning our next visit. Phenomenal service, great tasting food. If you happen to order the artichoke and eggplant dip, try it with calamari marplatense. If you like seafood with pasta, order the Linguine frutti di marre. Their picanha is also very good, their Gaucho style can probably feed about 2 to 3 people.
