Been exploring more restaurants in Pasadena and walked by Fishwives a few weeks before. Loved the vibe of the restaurant and the staff were super friendly and helpful. But to the main point…the food was really great. Some other reviews complained about the price but considering the quality and portion I felt the price was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend and want to come back and try more dishes.

Both my guest and I had the New England clam chowder. This was topped with three clams, each in their shell. The soup was loaded with clams, potatoes, and carrots, and it was absolutely delicious. The only negative aspect was that crackers were served rather than bread and butter. I had the fish and chips; the fish was a huge piece of Seabass, perfectly fried, and the fries were thick pieces of potato heaven. My guest had the crabcake, which was accompanied by a salad, and she enjoyed both of them. Wine selections are limited but are fairly priced. The interior of the restaurant is quite stark. Overall, it was a very pleasant dining experience and I will definitely be back.

By far one of the best raw bars i have been to in decades. Definitively deserves a round of applause. The clam chowder is simple yet the best I've had in a very very long time. The raw options are fresh and the staff is beyond pleasant. I will be bringing the family soon. And yes I ordered seconds on the chowder. 🤤

Casual atmosphere, not busy for lunch . Server accommodated our group of 6 with 2 babies. Alcohol available. Sushi menu, restaurant menu had a variety of seafood, ordered clam chowder to share and we did all the items and our server split the soup into 2 bowls separate. Very nice. Very good clam chowder. The scallops in a cream sauce with spinach was very good. Our group also liked the razor clams /oysters . We had fried pickles, mussels in butter, fried oysters in deviled eggs. Their French fries also unusually long and tasty seasoning. A little on the pricey side but all very good

Everything I have had at this restaurant has been amazing. My partner and I have come twice now and have been blown away and have decided we are going to frequent this establishment more often. The fried oyster deviled eggs are my favorite. The fried are so good. The oysters and scallops were very fresh and delicious. The French fries are top tier also. I recommend this spot highly.
