Established in 2019. El Pescador Family Restaurants is a dream come true thanks to the support of our customers, the solid union of our family and the principles that our parents, Carlos and Isidra Ortiz, granted us. Everything began in 1983 when Manuel Ortiz, the eldest brother of our family, had a dream of being owner of his own restaurant. This dream became reality in the city of Bell Gardens, California. Manuel knew he could count on the support of his parents and eleven brothers.

Great place to either eat or have a drink at the bar. They separate the party area and the restaurant so that you don’t feel overwhelmed with high energy people and those who just want to grab a bite. The plates are huge and filling. You’ll break your diet here. The food was tasty and they drinks are huge. I can recommend coming on a date or family meal here.

The generously sized plates are perfect for sharing with loved ones. I had the pleasure of sampling several dishes from their menu, and what truly impressed me was the prompt service and the beautiful Mother's Day decorations. While the 7 mares plate required a touch of extra seasoning, it was a minor detail in an otherwise outstanding dining experience. To avoid waiting, consider arriving early and making the most of your visit. I'm eager to return and explore their lunch special plates during the week.

Excited to try it out. Lots of staff smiling and asking about your experience. They have 4 seating sections-The Patio, The Sports Bar, and 2 different dining areas, both cute, but one beautiful green lighting from the ceiling and deep jewel tones, perfect for quiet or intimate dining. The other was busy with foot traffic between all the rooms and the kitchen. It had Cafe style seating and interesting wall lighing, more for casual dining with children. The drinks were flowing, laughter and chatter filled the space. Great Vibes! The food was Insta-Worthy, and the menu w/ pricing were creatively displayed. Our food selections were ok. Something was missing from the guacamole seasoning. The portions were huge. I took 2/3 of my wet burrito home. OMG it was Great after I dropped it into the air-frier. The overall value for the food, service and atmosphere were excellent. I'll definitely go back for happy hour or breakfast.

El Pescador in Downey absolutely delivered! We had a big group of 12 and Jessie, our server, was incredible—super attentive, patient, and on top of everything the whole visit. The food was so good—everything came out hot, fresh, and flavorful. On top of that, the ambiance is really impressive: colorful up-lighting throughout the space, super clean, and a great vibe overall. Highly recommend for a family brunch or a night out with friends!
