Specialties: Our namesake, Daniel Chessman Oakes, or DC Oakes as he was known-- was one of Colorado's earliest settlers, opening the State's first sawmill and lumber yard and serving as one of the first members of the Denver City Council. Known for his impressive beard and adventurous nature, we've aimed to emulate his tireless work ethic, as well as his ability to habitually succeed. Much like Colorado itself, beer making is deeply rooted in a history of inventors, adventurers, and risk takers. All of these people share a love for Colorado, and we want to celebrate that with you. With over six decades of professional experience in the restaurant and brewing industries, the DC Oakes team welcomes you to share a seat at the table with us. Established in 2017. DC Oakes began as a dream between friends, sketched out on beer stained coasters, between kids' soccer games, front porches, and backyard BBQs. But mostly on beer stained coasters. We built DC Oakes as a place for our friends and family to come together and share good company, good vibes, and to celebrate local love through hand-crafted beer, classic cocktails, and the outstanding food we serve. We share our passion with you by showcasing local craftsmen, creating an authentic dining experience, and by giving back to the community we call home.

If you and the people you’re with can’t decide on where to eat, head over to DC Oakes. The diverse range of food options ensures that there will be something to please everyone. The Apple and Pear and steak salads had layers of flavors that worked well together. The mac and cheese is great to share and you can add to the basic offering. The patio is large and the service is very good. The location is in a newer looking shopping center so it lacks the charm of something located near the city center.

I often hesitate getting fish and chips from a restaurant that I'm not familiar with, however, I took the chance and ordered them at DC Oakes. I am so glad I did. They were wonderful! They were perfectly battered and cooked, not slimy or wet like some restaurants serve. They had a very nice flavor and the chips and coleslaw were great too. We had such great service, as well. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful local business. Treated myself for Valentine’s Day today. I can highly the corn, tater tots, Brussels sprouts and the salads. Great place all the way around. Solid vegetarian options. Good lemonade for those who don’t drink alcohol like me.

Great bar food and beer selection. Definitely try the Reuben or the Honey Sriracha chicken sandwich if you like those. Service was fast and friendly, especially with a large group of 10 or 12 that we had. Just to make things easier on yourself, don't forget your reservation! Enjoy and follow me!
