We first ate at the restaurant on the second floor, but the food was just okay, the wait for the dishes was long, and the service wasn’t great. So, we went down to the first floor and had gyoza and ramen, which were absolutely delicious. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the texture of the noodles was fantastic. After eating there, I recommended it to several people and they loved ramen there.

Absolutely great ramen spot. Welcoming staff made us feel right at home—even with four kids in tow. Loved the cozy group table in the back and the fresh, modern vibe throughout. The broth was the star. We tried the shoyu, miso, and veggie tomato curry—all rich, flavorful, and totally hit the spot. The charsu and ground pork were top notch, the egg was perfect, and I loved the wok-charred onions and veggies in the veggie bowl. Imported noodles had that ideal texture and chew.

Daikaya Ramen Shop was a cool spot to go to for a short weekend trip. I was told this was the place to go and one of the best ramen places to must try when exploring Washington, DC. I had the Shio ramen. I wanted to give it a try especially because the broth is prepped for many hours and once served, it is as delicious with all ingredients. The ramen was fresh amd soft, it was my first time tasting Brussels sprouts in ramen and I didn't mind it at all. We ordered the spring rolls as an appetizer. It was served with a habanero sauce on the side. Diving into our ramen and getting full from other, I almost forgot to try the spring rolls. The restaurant was small, spacious enough for small groups or options to sit across the table with other customers. The way it us set up, it gives it a hip and savvy vibe. Our waitress was friendly too. Thank you for the delicious ramen and service. What a great ramen joint to try at our first DC place to eat.

The vegetarian ramen was very good! I added spicy paste, which was flavorful and yummy. However, it was a little bit oily. The matcha ice cream was good, but too sweet. We were overcharged for food, as well. Trying to get a partial refund.
