Da Hong Pao is hands down one of the best Chinese restaurants in DC, especially if you’re craving authentic dim sum. The variety is impressive—everything from sio mai and hacao to lotus leaf sticky rice, all served fresh and steaming. On top of the dimsum, they have a wide variety of food items to explore, and its amazing! The staff is efficient and polite, even during busy hours. The dining room is spacious and clean, with a traditional vibe that adds to the experience. Perfect for group brunches or family meals. Don’t skip the egg tarts—they’re phenomenal!

Pretty good dim sum, although I liked some dishes more than others. I was a fan of the spring rolls, shumai dumplings, and soup dumplings, but I didn’t really enjoy the pork buns. The prices are also pretty good. It’s about $5-8 per dim sum item. The service was also pretty quick too.

Large menu that is almost overwhelming. We made the mistake of ordering appetizers and mains together. It was all served at the same time. Some mains were cold by the time we finished the appetizers. Service was ok
