I went to Cast Iron Tavern. It was a new place for me. New places can be overwhelming, but I was excited. The lights were not too bright, and the noise level was okay. That made me feel comfortable. I ordered a burger. It was a complicated order because I like things a certain way. Sometimes that makes people annoyed, but Elizabeth was very nice. She listened carefully and got everything right. That made me happy. The burger was perfect. The texture was great, and the flavors were just right. I like predictable food, and this was exactly how I wanted it. I also drank two large Cokes. I like Coke because the bubbles feel nice in my mouth. The cups were big, which is good because I drink a lot. Elizabeth kept checking to make sure I had enough. That made me feel cared for. I really liked Cast Iron Tavern. It felt safe, the food was amazing, and Elizabeth was awesome. I will definitely go back because I know it will be good again. I like places that stay the same. That makes me happy.

Fantastic spot with great outdoor seating and excellent food! The deviled eggs were a stand out, the pesto and balsamic were an amazing addition. Our waitress was friendly and very attentive, absolutely will be back!

Everything about our visit was amazing! One of the best espresso martinis I’ve ever had. The Barada and beet appetizer hit the spot. A friend ordered the deviled eggs, which is not something I would usually get, but I’m so glad he did because they were delicious. I also had the cast-iron chicken which was to die for. The vibe and the service were 10 out of 10. To top it off, I love supporting a locally owned business.

While the food quality remains good, unfortunately, the food portions have recently take a major hit. There is currently only one vegetarian entree on the menu besides the veggie burger. I've ordered the pesto mac 'n cheese many times and enjoyed a large portion, including food to take home! It always contained a plethora of veggies as well. Last night, not only is the price now $19 on the new menu but the portion is incredibly small with a paltry serving of vegetables. I am a small person, and I left hungry which is unacceptable in this type of establishment. My husband urged me to order another portion, but I didn't wan to spend nearly $40 on a dish that actually used to feed me for $16. I understand that margins are incredibly tight and it's increasingly difficult to run a restaurant and make a profit. I truly do. But to raise the price and lower the portion so much on your main vegetarian dish really irks me. I am still a Cast Iron fan but will no longer be recommending this place like I used to. I hope they listen to feedback and get back to what they're known for - delicious food with portions that fill your belly.

We stopped by after hiking. It was Sunday at 4 pm. First time here. It was conveniently happy hour LOL. I had the buffalo chicken mac, and my wife had the chicken mac. They were both delicious. I skipped the blue cheese on mine, I am not a fan of blue cheese. Our waitress was great, attentive but not too much, the atmosphere was nice, a lot of TV's with a variety of sports playing. We will return for sure.
