Mochiko has the best ramen I have ever had. I’ve never visited Japan so I can’t compare but I’ve had really great ramen in Chicago and LA, but nothing beats Mochiko. I love their kioke shoyu ramen and the Cincinnati-style ramen. it’s the only ramen I’ve ever been able to finish completely and slurp all the broth. Their pastries are also incredible and some of the best in the city. They are always bringing new ideas and flavors to their bakery and I feel so grateful to have such a wonderful spot in my city. The atmosphere is cozy and service is always great and efficient. It can be a pain to wait in line at open since the shop is relatively small, but it is worth the wait every single time.

Every single bite of our first Cafe Mochiko experience was pure perfection. Every single pastry we tried (and we tried every pastry they had in stock) has the perfect blend of aesthetics, textures and flavors. The balance of sweet and savory could not have been better. Every pastry was a work of art and had us hesitate for the briefest moment before we dove in and devoured it. The sweet corn bibinka (gluten-free) mixed a delicate corn sweetness with a finely shredded cheddar on top to make the most mouthwatering combination. Egg and kimchi croissant blew my mind and had me desperately wishing I had ordered two. Ube halaya croissant- these type typically land too sweet for me but this one was pretty yam perfect. If you like everything bagels the Everything Cream Cheese Bao will knock your socks off. Make sure you get to the shop early as they do sell out (we learned this the hard way a few weeks ago). It is a 45 minute drive down for us but I can say without hesitation that it was well worth the drive. You won’t be disappointed- and if you are….there may be something wrong with you. 😜🤤

Got the best ramen of my life here. Then came back and got some awesome sweets the next morning . The croissant looked the best but honestly the cookies and shokupan were the stand outs in flavor. Definitely need to come back if I’m ever in the area!

Very busy at 10:00am on Sunday. Would recommend arriving early if you'd like a full selection of pastries. I was not very overly impressed with any of the pastries that I had. They were all good and had interesting textures, but the flavors were not very strong. I'll be returning to try other options. Many tables squeezed into a small space but there was always one available.
