On the upper scale, but not fancy, atmosphere. Great sign was that lots of Thai/Burma folks were eating lunch here. The servings are largely family style, which as a solo diner means left overs. The food is NOT typical Thai, although it has elements of it. It is almost a fusion between Indian and Thai in that the curries are not as soupie as Thai but not as thick as Indian. They are known for a tea leaf salad, which only comes in a large size but they accommodated me when I asked for a smaller portion. The tea leaf portion is not the base as you might think, the tea leaf is the dressing composition, so tea leaf paste in vegetable oil essentially. The salad has dried garlic, very mild jalapeño small slices, fried chickpeas, peanuts, sesame seeds, hint of tomato and cabbage/romaine as the base. Slightly salty, good mouth feel, crunchy. For main I had the Burma Curry w coconut rice. Rice had a very mild sweetness and dried onion on top. The curry was slightly salty, not quite a broth or soup. Thicker consistency. The chicken was thigh/dark meat, tender and not chewy. Potatoes were the the other main component and had soaked up the broth. The saltiness was little more than I prefer but that's the style of this broth, if I came back I might prefer a yellow curry style in the dry curry. Service was excellent, food was fine. Salad good.

Great place for something different. The vibes is casual & the staff is really friendly. I do find the food salty but that’s how it is when you eat out Best bet would be tea leaf salad, basil beef & garlic noodles with shrimp

Burma 2 is hands down one of the best Burmese restaurants in the area, and Walnut Creek is incredibly lucky to have such a standout dining destination. The lotus chip and leaf salad was great! The lamb was a little bit dry but dried curry was tender. Great atmosphere for family gathering!

We passed by the restaurant. We patio looked very inviting so we decided to give it a try. We love sitting outdoors while eating. We ordered a tea leaf salad. It’s very good. We also ordered Burmese shrimp and Burmese curry. They are ok.
