Wow! A great start to 2025 for lunch. My nephew took us to the restaurant on the 1st. Tina was our amazing server and helped us select great appetizers and entrees for lunch. The menu is quite extensive and offers food for vegans, vegetarians and us carnivores. The Bloody Marys were awesome as well.

We just moved here from Nashville and discovered this hidden gem!! This place is absolutely amazing. The grits are second to none. The salmon rice bowl doesn't have a competitor in this city.

We came in as part of a tasting with The Tasting Tours and had the pleasure of being served by Tina—what a gem! She was friendly, attentive, and totally on point with the service, even with our lively group. Tina made us feel welcome from the start and added a personal touch that elevated the whole experience. I love the Brick, and have been eating here for 20+ years. It is an institution in the Avondale area. They have many great dishes here, several of which haven’t changed, but this time we got a few of our faves - Ahi Tuna Crackers (not pictured), Shrimp & Grits, Grilled Chicken Salad, and the Key Lime Pie. Pro tip: order the shrimp blackened (we forgot). Those ahi crackers are packed with flavor and a nice punch from the wasabi drizzle. You might think this is a grilled ordinary chicken salad, but you would be wrong. I’ve been eating this same salad since I first discovered the Brick, and they haven’t really changed it at all. The secret is in the dressing, it’s quite amazing. Don’t take my word - you will have to try it for yourself to believe me. Couple that with the warm grilled chicken, the crunch of the tortilla strips and greens - it’s addictive. The key lime pie here is one of the best ever. Perfectly tart. Atmosphere is relaxed. Kids love it too! Great bar area. Nice patio outside if you have a dog. Always worth a visit when in the area.

Had a nice lunch here while in town visiting family. It’s a nice open relaxed atmosphere with seating inside and outside. The staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. All the food we had tasted great. A strong recommendation is the fish tacos. The fish was substantial and tasted crazy fresh. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Overall a nice experience. I’d definitely go again.
