After walking through a narrow brick alley I found this little Italian market tucked in the back of the Bricco restaurant. There is a lot of fresh homemade food here. When we arrived, an older lady was working behind the counter. She didn’t talk or smile much, but I have come to expect that in the more traditional environments within Boston. I ordered the Italian sandwich, paid with my credit card and she proceeded to put it together. There is no seating so we walked to a park nearby and ate. Not the best Italian I’ve had but it was good. Nothing about it wowed me. Maybe their other sandwiches are better. The price is great and there was no wait compared to seeing the lines on a Saturday night at the nearby restaurants. I’d give this place a solid 4.5 because I will always try to support these little hole in the wall establishments over the nice sit down restaurants.

Stumbled upon Bricco Salumeria & Pasta Shop in a cozy alleyway and had an excellent experience. I ordered a prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich with olive oil on a ciabatta roll, and it was fantastic. The bread was fresh and bursting with flavor, and the prosciutto was cured perfectly and delicious. The shop itself has a great selection of artisan breads, pasta, and other Italian delicacies. The staff were friendly and helpful, making the visit even more enjoyable. Definitely a hidden gem worth visiting if you're in the area!

Bricco Salumeria continues to be one of my favorite spots to stop in to grab an Italian sandwich to go. The bread is so fresh, and the ingredients are above all the rest. Price wise, they’re also very reasonable considering you can get a few meals out of the sandwich itself. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a great deli sandwich on the go!

Tucked away in a cozy alley off Hanover Street, Bricco Salumeria is one of those rare Boston finds that feels like a secret passed down among locals. I just picked up some freshly sliced prosciutto here, and it was incredible—melt-in-your-mouth tender, perfectly aged, and full of rich flavor. You can taste the quality and craftsmanship in every bite. The shop itself is small but packed with authentic Italian ingredients—from house-made sausages to imported pasta and sauces. Everything feels genuine and curated with care. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, ready to help with recommendations. It really feels like stepping into a little slice of Italy.

Great value, hidden away down an alley in the North End. Tried both the meatball (pictured) and the porchetta. Also have a great outdoor patio where you can enjoy your sandwich.
