Established in 1992. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Alberto Bono grew up on the ethnic cuisine from Boston's North End and the culinary marvels of his mother's authentic homemade cooking. Bringing to Golden, Colorado, traditional Sicilian cuisine with an East Coast spin on it, Bono's Italian Takeout has established itself as a fixture in the community for more than 20 years. Al's wife Susan also helped the family business. Today the Bonos experience continues under the new ownership of Pete Szath and Brandon Stewart who aim to provide the same exceptional food and family atmosphere created by the Bonos.

Tasty, authentic Italian good - and make sure to get the white chocolate dreamsicle cake for dessert! My daughter and I stopped in here on a Wednesday in July 2024. The service was great and we both really enjoyed our meals as well as the reasonable pricing. I opted for spaghetti with one large meatball and my daughter enjoyed her pizza. A large group came in just after we ordered so our server was pulled away to tend to them but another server jumped in and took care of us the rest of the meal, so it all worked out well. This is definitely a great spot to visit if you're looking for a good, local, Italian spot.

Our first visit to this great, little restaurant. Visiting the area and decided on Bono's based on their positive Google reviews. Our entire visit was great! Greeted and seated right away. Kids ordered cheese pizza and spaghetti with marinara. My hubby and I had shrimp scampi and spaghetti with marinara and a meatball, also side salads, and a couple of cocktails each. Services was excellent and food was all delicious. Step aside Italian chain restaurants! Try Bono's!! We ordered 2 cannolis to go, so yummy! We'll be back!

7” Eggplant Parmigiana Sub. Sooooo good!! Fresh. Hot. Thoughtfully assembled. Quality bread, flavorful tomato sauce, and eggplant is in nice thin layers. We also love the gnocchi. Appreciate the vegetarian options!! Sunday special is buy one, get second 50% off for subs. I LOVE SPECIALS!! Service- always friendly although often on the lower side so have to wave to get their attention. Not a big deal. Atmosphere- wooden chairs and a few old booths. Classic looking mom and pop, Italian eatery.

If you’re craving a flavorful steak sandwich, I highly recommend stopping by Bono’s! They never disappoint. Their steak sandwich is always cooked to perfection, packed with flavor, and absolutely satisfying. Not only that, but they also have amazing pizza and delicious, authentic Italian desserts. Whether you’re in the mood for a hearty meal or just a sweet treat, Bono’s is the place to go!

The food here was good, the restaurant was full and seems to be a popular place. We had great service! The sasuage parm sandwich was good, the bread they use is terrific! Penne Vodka was also good, just a bit heavy on the red pepper for our liking. The restaurant could use a few fresh ceiling tiles, some new upholstery and some paint. We would definitely stop here again.
